  • I remember back in the early 90's when this was on YTV(Canada) it was on right after Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles weekday nights. Anyone remember that?

  • @Gilmoreboy2007 Me too. But then they yanked it in favour of more paltry shit.

  • in the heart of transylvania , in the vampire hall of fame yeah, theres not a vampire zanier than

    DUCKULA

he wont bite beast or man cos hes a vegetarian and things never run to plan for

    DUCKULA

if your looking for some fun you can always count upon the wild and wacky one they call

    DUCKULA hehe count Duckula hehehehehehe

    loved this tune

  • OH MY GOD blood vampires and satanic rituals on a kids show!!!!! (only kidding)

  • a masonic pentagram illuminati

  • Classic.

  • Omg, I thought I dreamed this up too! This is like watching my dream! so weird! awesome!

  • I don't give a damn what no one says this intro theme goes hard!!!

  • david jason did have the right voice for that role

  • Igor, you plonker...

  • Dam Right!

  • Has anyone been able to find this on DVD

  • @spencerl1983 yep, all the seasons is out on dvd.

  • got to love when a cartoons intro has a satanic simbule in it

  • Back when cartoons were actually worth getting up for.

  • sounds like thriller..hehe..so funny

  • I juts got goosebumps listening to this. I loved this show!

  • My friends thought I made up 'Spooks of bottle bay' which is even less well known (Duckula was on a local pub quiz so I don't think its too unknown - I didn't remember it properly though and accidentally guessed Count Quackula which really actually rhymes better with Dracula!).

  • @moogle301 Crazy, I work as a host and writer for a pub quiz company and never thought to do a Duckula question.

  • @jessebrake Are you going to so one now? =] That sounds like a cool job btw.

  • @moogle301 @moogle301 It is! Google "Geeks Who Drink" and you'll find it. I'm trying to think of a round theme for it that is not the norm...maybe a "Vampires Who Don't Fucking Sparkle" round?

  • @jessebrake hahahaha that round idea (and name) is win XD

  • This, mysterious cities of gold, he man, thundercats, dangermouse, bannanman, familyness, trapdoor, number73, dogtanion and the muskerhounds, captain caveman, scoobydoo, she rah, hongkongfooey all amazing and made my childhood great. All the stuff nowadays is shite apart from spobgebob

  • i remember watching this some 20 years ago here on Greece as well, man can;t believe the memories this on brought back! Cheers!

  • Awesome show, i grew up with it since i was 7 when it first aired and grew up with Danger Mouse when it aired on Nick in the 80's

  • @Johnlindsey289 See you and raise you 13 when it aired on ITV...

Does anyone else remember the episode when he becomes a proper vampire wanting blood hes back to normal at the end of course but I always rememebr that episode.

  • @mneish YES! that one was brilliant.

  • Blood....... OIL DUCKY !

  • @robhackin It was "I'll get it"... but Nanny was always slowwitted and had a tendency to create new doorways...

  • Just goes to show how PC cartoons have got these days.

  • @TheRealVolt ....Which is why all the vampires today are all sparkly and shit.

  • Duckula actually was a vegetarian vampire. And ironically enough, he was still more of a vampire than Edward.

  • A pentagram shown during a kid's show? Try pulling that today and see what would happen.

  • @MustangAce36Kills Yeah. I remember when my mom finally got out of bed after three months. She saw me watching this at the part with the pentagram, and she lost her damn mind!!! She was already worse than Bobby Boucher's mama with all the This-is-the-Devil stuff. Ah, good times

  • OMFG!!! It's so beautiful in English!!!!!!!!! The italian song is nice but this is PERFECT!!!

  • Ringtone.

  • I wish they released more than just one season on DVD

  • @suspekt29 They do season 2 now (:

  • @suspekt29 They are all available on dvd .. I have them.

  • @xBeautifulOrdinaryx In the United States Seasons 2-4 were never released. If you own them, then you probably live outside the US or have boot legs.

  • @hpsapphire915 Whats wrong with it?

  • @PubicMen I'm just not much of a fan of the "star" they had shown at that certain moment, that's all. It doesn't have the "Best" reputation with me. Thanks for asking! : ) GOD Bless you!

  • @hpsapphire915 Thats okay man!!

  • i like the satanic symbol on a childrens show

  • Whoa. I remember watching this show. Of course, at the time i didn't realize the significance of the inverted star. Kind of creepy now that i know what it means. And they talk about the astrological significance of it too.

  • This was back in the days when Nickelodeon was watchable for me.

I miss Count Duckula. That song plays in my head sometimes, even though Nick does not show this anymore.

    ~ Dwight

  • Ow, my brain...

  • I remember this show.. I always remember the Butler trying to turn Duckula into a proper Vampire, and that Van Helsing guy trying to get rid of Duckula all the time.

    :)

  • I like count duckula. It's my favourite cult classic. It was in 1988. But i don't like cosgrove hall anymore. I don't like the cosgrove hall show called roger to the rescue anymore. I thought Roger to the rescue was going to be on tv in 2007 but it's canceled. Roger to the rescue is a silly show i've ever seen for 2 years. I don't want to see roger to the rescue again. Cosgrove hall is a silly production company.

  • I'm not entirely sure what language you're speaking. It certainly isn't English, though.

This was the best show ever.

  • DUDE i too thought i was going insane because i could find no trace of this show and no one had heard of it so i was starting to believe i made it up (though in my mind the theme song was a cross between this and Darkwing duck)

  • lol, i actually did a report in my sociology class how Bram Stoker's Dracula influenced society and how we can steal feel its changes today. And i actually talked about this show and saying this was how i knew Dracula to begin with.

I wish they stil aired it, i would love to watch it again.

  • i got the plush of Duckyboos i still have =D

  • 0:40 the pentagram looks very similar to the one on Alucard's gloves from Hellsing

  • In the heart of Transylvania,

In the Vampire Hall of Fang-yia,

There's not a vampire zanier than Duckula.

He won't bite beast or man,

    'Cos he's a vegetarian,

And things never run to plan for Duckula.

If you're looking for some fun,

    You can always count upon,

The wild and wacky one they call Duckula.

  • So satanic...

  • Count duckula is the original cosgrove hall programme. It was in 1988. I like count duckula. Count duckula first appeared in the dangermouse episode of The four tasks of dangermouse

  • The 1st half on this intro is kind of dark. I never realized it until now.

  • Needless to say, I've been catching up on old episodes here on youtube.

  • HAHA Classic!

  • When I first watched Count Duckula h
