Galactica is also a close-combat ship while Pegasus with her bow cannons is the ultimate heavy artillery, especially in fleet commander.

it is possible to take out 3 Battlestars as well with her (much harder than 3 Basestars with own viper helping).

Galactica jumping in close (like a sandwich between 2 basestars) would take out both one, probably the third one also.

I didn't understand the part where you said the galactica fails deliberately... No one would want to fail. No one would start a battle with the intent on failing. That makes no sense.

@PlayWithDaveyyy, I guess when you play a game like that one, one tries to draw the AI to play its best cards early (poker wise). Sacrificing one ship if you can trap the enemy later in a weak position might worked by weakening the enemy with a diversionalry first attack.

tbh, i would say that you arnt very good at it then, because, iv completed the entire campain many times.

what mission you stuck on? and, as a note, its best to use move orders than direct attack orders on the enemy ships as it keeps the flak running =)

worth adding actually, that i deliberatly got galactica killed in this video. if i wanted it to survive, youve gotta sit it side-on and flak agaisnt the incomming missiles =)

The new release is full of bugs. Some of the missions aren't even completable. In other scenarios, no matter which way you shimmy and shake the Galactica, you're toast in under two minutes as there is simply no way to survive two Basestars. Simple numbers. This mod has a long way to go as far as balance and polish.

the game is a modification for Homeworld 2. the mod it self is called Battlestar Galactica: Fleet Commander. The final version is ready and they dont plan on adding anymore on to it last i ready on the website.

Yes i believe the Cylon basestars have nuke upgrades.

Colonial ships used to have em too but the latest version of the mod took em out.
