  • @Alex70451 Lovely indeed

  • Simply put, the GREATEST show ever!

  • :') *sigh* i never knew about this show b4! it reminds me of full house somehow... very touching!

  • :(

  • Okay what is happening -3

  • -3 not -3 sorry

  • I know I could just carry on watching loads more episodes on YouTube but this has made me cry a bit like I'm never gonna watch family ties again....:( (but I can) :p I -3 family ties !!!!!!!

  • Anyone remember the finale of The Golden Girls? That finale, and this one, are probably the best endings of two of NBC's biggest 80s hits.

  • great show

  • Is this the last episode of family tires???????

  • @SolitarioII

    Yes

  • @SolitarioII lol tires?

  • I like how the Cabi just blatantly walks into their house.

  • that's really good money during this time...

  • I love how Michael J. Fox had the last line in the show.

I was watching an interview with Michael J. Fox and he was talking about on how he was holding back his tears during the filming of the final episode of Family Ties.

  • I cryed my eyes out. So sad!

  • By the way, they did do a curtain call.

  • I still remember where I was when I watched that episode as a kid. Never will there be a show like that one.

  • It would have been neat if the cast did a curtain call.

  • Damn straight, the 89's were the BEST!! If ya didn't live it, then no way you can 'know' it though! 'Cosby' & 'the Keatons'; best shows on television!

  • The show still is funny today. What a great ensemble cast.

  • Holy tears! What a great show. Thanks for posting.

  • What a dope. The 1980s were the last great decade. Learn some economics/history/political science. You really should thank Ronald Reagan!

  • I tend to agree, the happiest times I can remember are all in the 80's.

  • @docmagnus he sucks black dick in hell

  • if you were born in the 1980s then you could not attest to what the 1980s were unless you live them. I think should go back a crawl under the stone you came from. Your generation grew up with the attitude that life owes you something and it is apparent by your remarks that you share that same view.

  • The family i never had, but really wanted to...

  • God...I saw this episode, FIRST RUN, when I was eight years old and have never been fortunate enough to see it in reruns. And I can't help feeling bad for sitcom actors wherein they get to complete their run and get a proper series finale, because you can sometimes tell in the final scenes of the finale that the actors knew it was the end but that they didn't want it to end. You could tell that with Michael J. Fox's body language and the way his voice was breaking toward the end.

  • Michael J. Fox was one of the people who decided that they shouldn't do another season XD Mainly because he had just had a baby. He didn't feel like they should have kept going until way after it was over.. He admitted to it in an interview.

  • actually he had his first child AFTER the show was finished

it was because he had other things going for him he had 'back to the future' 2 and 3 to finish he was starting a family and also he explained it would be weird for michael to play alex as a 25 year old still living with his parents

  • Great ending to a great show. Family Ties will always be one of the best.

  • You could see MJF already getting emotional right after Jennifer walks into the kitchen. He fought it, but you can see it.

  • I Love Mallory Keaton!!!

  • great show

  • hahahahahahaha, gtfo!

  • this is so sad i really miss this show

  • omg that made me cry so hard!! idk why lol i mean i do know why, but gez what a baby i am!

  • No your not, your human and it was very sad, i cried too

  • No believe me I got choked up too; best part is when Alex voice cracks too when he says goodbye. thats not acting there :(

  • I'm pretty sure that's just acting.. Considering the entire cast has remained extremely close and still see eachother every week to this day... And also because he was one of the people who insisted they end the show without another season and didn't want to do it anymore.. But he did admit he wished they did another season later on.

  • It isn't acting. Search "Family Ties (Final episode with curtain call & fond farewell)" and you will see MJF was the most emotional of the cast as he starts to cry in Meredith Baxter arms.

  • Jackie Chan Adventures, Sabrina and Watch The Frog... Oh boy, the memories of the eighties are rushing back.

  • ... Sabrina the Teenage Witch started in 1996 and Jackie Chan Adventures started in 2000... so uhh. You're a little off.

  • I don't even remember writing this, but it looks like I'm being sarcastic.

  • Haha, sorry. Happens to me all the time. Your comment just made me do a double take because I didn't remember those things in the 80's

  • One of the best finale's done.

Sadly, That '70s Show would've ended the same way if they cut it off right after Eric moved to Africa. Instead, they tried to continue it for 2 more seasons without him or Kelso.

That would be the equivalent of Family Ties trying to go on for a season without Alex. Ugh.

  • One of the best show's ever done ..todays family could learn a lot from this ..some families anyways

  • I know my family can't. It's too late for us. We'd rather divide and squabble over religion.

  • Bye Alex.

  • I miss this show...so much...taught me a lot about family ties...

  • Why aren't shows great like this any more?

  • @12mock3lee: *labored-sigh*..........I don't know friend. I just don't know.

  • @12mock3lee Because people have forgotten how to write like this.

  • @12mock3lee

    because that was lame ?

  • @12mock3lee

Because America has become a festering cesspool, and production studios must now cater to this or risk losing viewership. Perfect example would be jersey shore - trash. You never saw Michael J Fox (one of THE biggest actors in the 80's and to this day) Give himself some douchebag nickname.

It saddens my heart what America has become.

  • @Psilaxs Sitcoms emanating from the US are indeed trash now. Even the Simpsons lost touch 5-10 years ago.

In fact, I think I can actually pinpoint the 'epoche' in TV series history when this crapification manifested itself - FRIENDS. -_-

  • Heart.

  • wow almost cried!

  • "splash of color" what a wonderful script and a great series finale! Love all the cast.

  • It's the first and only time we see Alex wearing a suit with a hankercheif in the front jacket pocket.

  • you know? You're so right!! Hopefully mallory influenced alex from now on...

  • ah the days whens series finales were good (still haven't gotten over that god awful seinfeld finale)

  • @corrupt200 seinfeld was bad anyway
