How do you change rules during a playoff for one player's actions it seems odd to me. It doesn't make sense it was isolated incident why change rule's just into playoffs because two players have an on going fued? Oh well I guess it is good for the league then do it.

The rule was NOT changed. They only clarified that this type of behavior did indeed fall under the unsportsmanlike behavior rule. The ref wasn't sure at the time because it had never happened before.
I would think that would be Goalie interference. But, since it wasn't physical they can't say anything. I think it was fun to watch, but it shouldn't be a part of the game.

it's not so much changing the rule as it is explaining that this kind of douchebaggery is considered Unsportsmanlike Conduct, an already existing rule. He didn't get a penalty. The ref clearly said something to him about it, meaning he already knew that wasn't cool. And he didn't do it again, he just resorted to his old method of just running into Brodeur...

The rule was NOT changed. They only clarified that this type of behavior did indeed fall under the unsportsmanlike behavior rule. The ref wasn't sure at the time because it had never happened before.

I love it. It is low-class and something you only see in the beer leagues but look at the situation. It's one tight gritty series and if you want the Devil's best player, Martin Brodeur who I think has been the best goalie in the NHL for so many years, to get off of his game.
