  • awesome motherfucker!

  • Why didn't they show the guy in the back who was pushing the truck? lol

  • thats not a truck thats a piss of shit

  • hmmm no wheel spin im suprized

  • Nice job...

  • 这个机器人很有力气,不错,整个做过也很精致,很喜欢!

  • powerful

  • nneeeeerrddssss!!!

  • fat ass drinking the double gulp. but nice video

  • I love Parallax and the Quadrover but i just don't think it's worth $5000. Just think about the other robots you could make with $5000.

  • @milo20570

It's actually $3,500 on sale at Parallax right now. So it's basically FREE if $3,500 is like $1 to you :)

I accidentally came across some of this robot stuff in the last 15 min. and been doing some reading. When I saw this at $3,500 _ my eyes bugged out.

  • That's not real!!

    Die Räder würden durdrehen.

  • DOUBLE GULP :D

  • could be a guy behind the car pushing it ^^

  • Nice... good work!

  • if you think about it, doesnt take that much to push a car. long as the rover has good enough traction and grip it should be fine

  • Cool stuff. can I have it?

  • Would you build a simpler rover for me? jpluto at hotmail

  • how did you get the parallax gps to work with the propeller chip threw the dependency board??? did you have to use a max3232 or something? i fried my dependency board, but the gps still works fine threw a max3232!

  • Yes I'm sure that is what they used. Sweet chip but expensive. I have been looking around the past couple of days and it looks like a TRS232ECNE4 with a couple of resisters will do the same thing. for less then a 10th of the cost.

  • Nice good work

  • lol, theres no engine in that truck! nice try.

0:30 - nice douchey lookin face, lol

i love your RC Robot though! its insane it has an engine that big! i would belive it can pull a vehicle with no engine, or a smart car!

  • The camera doesn't show a man behind a truck, pushing it :P

  • its a ute you wankers!

  • wow i never knew it was THAT strong!

  • it really doesn't take much to pull a truck in neutral, though. that's sort of the point of the wheels on it :D

  • @fjaldkeiu2 it beats pushing it though

  • @touchsmart0 no the vehicle was originaly design for an obsticle corse in the real world so it tracks it movements and records them and knows if its about to tip over and goes back the way it came to get a new way around

  • thats not a truck!!!!

  • its a chink truck like not a real o e a honda witha bed on the back

  • i know but it should not relly be considered as a truck more like a wagon

  • Eh? It has GPS, 3d accelerometer, etc. Are you expecting it to autonomously approach random vehicles and tow them? Nah, probably safer to have someone tell it to start pulling.

    Good grief.

  • The thing is fully autonomous when not controlled by remote.

  • This guy is just dissing anything ParallaxInc does on youtube. Just mark him as spam and toss him in the bin.

  • They are just using the r/c remote for r/c porposes. The robot has a microcontroller in it with 8 cpus. It also has a ton of sensors.

  • If you think this is FAKE - You really need to go to Parallax's web site and see this and some of the other cool stuff they have. Just don't fill the forums with annoying crap like you do here k?

  • It's running a hydraulic pump and 4 hydraulic motors... it's real.

  • if it isnt fake why is the guy sitting on the hood covering the driver seat

  • ...because in the U.S. the driver's seat is on the left side.

  • i guess your right and its a honda engine(i didnt listen) but it hard to think somthing like that has anough traction

  • fake fake fake fake fake fake fake fake fake tudeeeee! someone is one the car and he drives it!

  • Wow.

  • lol i had a fatass professor in my electronics class, and he used to always get BIG GULP from 7-11. i see this guy on the pickup is drinking DOUBLE GULP, which is double the size! LOL

  • It's not fake. What they didn't mention in the video is that the small engine is not powering the robot directly. It is connected to a hydraulic pump and the robot is actually powered by four hydraulic motors. That provides far more torque than the engine alone.

  • for all those guys saying this is fake, have you ever watched worlds strongest man comps? They regularly have an event where a guy has to pull a train loco... you think that a train isn't alot heavier than a human?

  • you are an idiot. sorry to put it blunt! its to do with traction(in this case lack of). plus it takes time to build up momentum(again lack of) seriously!!

  • The truth is any robot that costs $5000 for just the hardware can pull any $500 pickup truck :)

  • LOL yea thats it. Its all about the money.

  • It's all about US$4999. LOL. That's how much it costs to buy it from parallax.

  • Thats probbaly more like 3300 lbs if you include the guys weight too lol. I know that was mean but hey nice robot

  • it would suck for that guy on the hood if that rope broke

  • the drink was probably diet, thats why this was possible .. :p

  • I wouldn;t say fake but VERY good chance, still good idea...put a better engine in there then we can say real. Toyotas were pretty light back then lol. Sad face is that you didnt build anything new, just atached rope, these come prebuilt!

  • your a 'tard. this isn't fake.

  • you dont even know what parallax is do you?

  • error?

  • nope. but you are a 'tard.

  • You silly little boy.

  • Forget the weight of the vehicle - how much does that drink weigh?? ;-)

  • holy ****!!!

    How is that even possible?

Didn't know the Prop QuadRover was so powerful!
