i used to be able to run do a roll and hit a bullseye from about 30 feet with a recurve but i can`t hit the side of a barn with my compound with pendulum sights stabilizer bar and quick release. but i can shoot it ok without sights or pins

Those bows can cost in excess of 10k, they are custom designed to weigh almost nothing, recoil straight back, and mount ultra high quality accessories. Those tri-core stabilizers absorb ALL of the shock as well as balance the bow, the sights are designed to incredibly tight tolerances, the string can cost $100s, and the arrows alone might be $100+ a piece

well it depends on the bow. because each bow is separated by pounds it takes to pull the string back

all bows in this video are recurve bows

recurve bows are the bows with a handle and 2 lims and are usually close to the archer's height

compound bows are the shorter 1 piece bows with wheels at each end and have 3 strings goin up and down

the long pole sticking out of the bow is called a stabelizer

the thing on top is called a sight

actually, it's impossible, but with wooden arrows, because the internal estructure of wood is not regular so the arrow brakes before it can be totally braken in half

in this case is diferent 'cos these aren't wooden arrows, thay are probably carbonates or something like that; I'd even say that the arrow in the target is hollow, so that the second one can enter through it without breaking it

well acctually they were trying to split an arrow using a regular arrow not a practie one like that. the problem was the sharp blades on the regular arrow folowed the grain on the wood whereas the practice arrow simply fit inside the hollow shaft
