CPR re-certification takes 2 hours give or take. The whole theory changed 2 years ago. No more abc's . . except with an infant . Instead of 5 and 1 or 15 and 2 with 2 man cpr its now 30 and two with either 1 or 2. Plus the Heimlich maneuver is so easy to learn.
Do you do CPR if the adult collapses and is unresponsive from a drug overdose, fainting episode, electric shock, is breathing or other environmental factors?
What if they are in a factory and encounter exposure to a chemical causing the collapse? Should you rush over to them without making sure the scene is safe first so that you do not become a victim as well?
This video by the AHA does not seem to address these issues unlike the American Red Cross training video. kgerton@gmail.com
