Super 8 was a great, wonderful film that I'd recommend highly. A MUST SEE! It reminded me of the films that I grew up with in the 70's & 80's such as ET, Close Encounters, Indiana Jones, and the like. Even add Independence Day of the 90's (all in which we stood in line for back then)! Super 8 has a exciting storyline that imaginative, compelling, about growing up, about love, death, regrets, but more importantly ~ dreams of hope and love for all those in this action packed family film!

@dlan4327 Thats what this film is about, the director Abhrams made this film as basically a homage to all of the Spielberg classics of the 70s and 80s. It focuses on building up suspense and very human characters rather than bombarding the viewer with relentless action with a thin plot like most films do today.

All the creativity will be coming from JJ Abrams who wrote the movie and directed it. Let's not forget the most important person in the visual department, the D.P. whoever he or she is. Speilberg is basically sitting this one out. Just using his name. That's a producer's job.

The music is from Cocoon The Soundtrack. It fantastic soundtrack from an 80's movie. The composer is James Horner. You can probably find James Horner Cocoon on iTunes or Youtube.
