Those who spew religion on others seldom have faith in what they are saying. In the case of the 19 year old she is telling you how to behave to fight her biological urges. Religion was originally created to tie us back down to earth (rilegare from Latin) . It is great for us to organize our own lives but lethal when used to judge and try to control others. The Crusades, Inquisition, witch hunts, and GWB saying god told him to wage war on Iraq being just a few examples.
@trimarano I totally agree with you. Strength in silence. I only appreciate public non-formal-preaching such at this when it is used to help someone in a particular moment of their life. When faith (notice I didn't use the word religion) is used as a guideline or as an example to give someone a larger perspective.
I love your depth and care. This is you exhausted at 3 AM? Darling you are a natural born Beatrice. Use your cunning and tongue wisely and please only bestow the most deserving mongrels and filth of soceitie with your eloquent bashings. And yes, I am currently in the process of performing a Shakespeare play (guess which) so excuse the over formal language and folio if i didn't edit all of that out.
@jacobcoolguy Well, hello Jacob... what rock did you just crawl out from under? What a pleasant surprise to know that someone with a mind like yours (from what little I've seen, I'm already tickled) watches my videos? I think you're only ever as good as your audience, don't you agree? Ergo, you make me look good. This tasteful Beatrice compliment.. I'll remember it. Thank you. Stick around won't you?
@SpottedAssedApe Ha!! I was TOTALLY thinking "diaper" in my head a that point!! Just thought it would have been weird and disjointed for those who are tuning in for the first time... "Youth is wasted on the young" is the phrase, I believe. And I agree. Even though I still fall under the 'young' category.
Wait, you're Christian? Totally didn't see that coming... and yet at the same time it makes such perfect sense in retrospect.
But yeah, I think at some point in their lives every intelligent person must find their own way to come to terms with The Problem of Human Stupidity. You can allow yourself to be irritated by it, you can look to exploit it, or... you can just find it all wildly entertaining.
@AIexandar Yeah, I get that reaction a lot! I'm actually glad, maybe I can help change people's first impression, opinion, or views of what a christian looks/talks like. How does it make perfect sense, if you don't mind my prodding?
I usually love being entertained by weak minds that think they have something to say... but when i see the wasted potential and youth it's hard not to want to step in and slap some sense into the person in question.
@katConfidential Well, I'd never actually thought about it consciously, but somewhere in the back of my mind I suppose my natural inclination would have been to assume you were atheist simply because you're intelligent. But considering it now, I can totally see how religious belief could fit with the more... "creative" way that you process the world. Really hard to put into words!
A vid on the specifics of your beliefs/reasoning and how they were formed would be faaascinating, if ever inclined.
Maybe in this situation it's best to sit back and just say 'okay' the next time her opinion just has to be voiced .The irritated expression on her face could be amusing.
@candyymac09 Not sure he has enough brain power to speak while sensing sarcasm at the same time. But.. that is exactly what I say to her when I'm not in the mood to tear someone's limbs off, verbally.

"I'm just not loud and in your face until you give me a reason to be loud and...in your face...um *diapers* hugh."
Her kind of reaction is also how many people get turned off when someone else tries to share their faith also.
09:20 - 10:22 Very well said. What's that phrase: youth is wasted on teenagers? This is a good instance where, 'Hell is other christians.' xp

i swear some people only convert to christianity as an excuse to be a sanctimonious pain in the arse and get on everyone's case.

@BornUnderABadSign89 Yeah..sadly some people just need a cause to spend their lives defending and proclaiming or they feel empty.

I know people like this. Some of them never grow out of that, sadly.
