Oh i said back on the forum where i hang out that i should comment on this if i ever register on YouTube. Well after making a featured creature on spore i did! so now i have no excuse to comment.

Fun to see you liked the Editor. I helped with the graphics a bit so is extra fun to see that people liked the work Huggkruka, Hydromancer and Me put in to this. And now there is a Vista update for it to if you have problems to run it under Vista. So no excuse not to check this old tool out. ;)

Glad you enjoyed the video. In some ways, oddly enough, I'm actually enjoying THIS tool better than the Spore Creature Creator, which is a testament to how neat a piece of software that huggkruka and his team made.

Well, if I was you, first I'd check to make sure your computer meets all of the minimum system requirements. If they seem like they should be good enough, I'd try NOT installing that EA uploader thingamajig, as it seems to be causing problems for some people.

If that doesn't work, then I'd look up some of the different online Spore communities out there. Join one if you can't find your answer, and give them a detailed description of your problem.

As for the Direct X, you'll probably need to download the latest version you can, if you haven't yet.

I'm glad you got the whole "I'm going to make a giant cock" out of the way. Sadly, this video will probably go down as the "original" Spore "cock monster" and for the first few weeks we'll be wading through a vast sea of Spore sausages. As much as I agree that there will be a woeful presence of penis people populating a plethora of planets post-release of Spore, this little dude is actually not "a giant cock", but a character from a 1995 game for the Super Nintendo called EarthBound, and he also appears in the Super Smash Bros games.

Do a search on YouTube for "Mr. Saturn" and you'll see see that the only real cock here, may be you (I kid, I kid).

Moreover, I didn't "hunt" for that program -- I happened across it.

Game Maker 6 doesn't support Vista, though GM 7 does. I guess you won't be getting that Huggs.

Yeah, while the similarity's there, I didn't have a lot to work with on that particular body shape.

I've done a few others afterward that look significantly better, but the video REALLY was more to show off the editor than to make a Mr. Saturn. :)
