  • @xxxwahshxxx I wish everyday that I could have a blue and gold macaw. I have 2 Sun Conures but I want a bird that could talk really well! If I got a Blue and Gold Macaw, I would probably name it Blu.

  • My dream is to have a blue and gold macaw

  • I love talking birds

  • The parakeet is like a little Pixie buzzing the Macaw every now and then!

  • I love it when my b&g gets in her 'talking' moods.

  • Do parakeets talk?

  • nope, only chirp

  • they can if they feel like it and you work with them A LOT.

  • @raqaza45 I think they do know what they are saying, otherwise they would be unconscious or stupid

  • Yes, parakeets talk a lot, you just need to listen carefully. The record for parrot with the most words is a parakeet. His name was Puck.

  • Yes. YouTube has plenty of videos with talking parakeets!

  • yep

  • He appears to be very happy. You may want to change out the chain on that candleholder or light fixture you made into a perch so it is bird safe though by using stainless steel. All those other chains have zinc which is deadly and builds up. If he even uses his beak to hold on or pull him self up on the chain he is getting the poison. Our Macaw got poisoned from a cheap bird toy chain. Best of luck with your bird.

  • ias that a amazon on the window???

  • No it is parakeet that has learned to talk from the macaw

  • no i think it's a cockatiel

  • wait sorry it actually is a parakeet- I just noticel

    lol

  • ok i have a question, are macaws like heavy on your shoulders? And do their claws hurt?

  • I do not think she is heavy to have on my shoulder. She only weighs about three pounds. The claws can hurt if the bird holds on really tight, but normal walking on your arm or perching on your arm is not to bad. We have been training her to fly to mom lately and she prefers to wear socks on her arms to deaden the bird's grip.

  • Not at all, they're all about 0.75-1 kg.

Seems wierd compared to his size...but most of size is feathers and not his body.

The only this thing that may distrub its he's claws. (His sharp beak may hurt too.)

  • We bought Tommy second hand through a newspaper ad. There is also a 'mom and pop' pet store near our home that sells many exotic birds. Look for locally owned pet stores.

  • can you guys please tell me where to buy wone of these at

  • You wont see them on pet stores unless you've ordered one, they are pretty expensive..changing from any country according to the rarity

  • dont think about buying one without much thought either. they require a lot of attention to keep them happy

  • cuteest thing man i love birds

  • The parrot looks like he is talking to his little friend some of the time.

  • yeahhh

  • sweet

  • You can't keep a secret in a house with a talking Parrot. LOL

  • he'll tell everyone all your sexual fantasies

  • very cool parrot hes a very good talker
