It's funny how a really depressing song like this can still be so beautiful. Another example is Iris DeMent's "Our Town". I like this version, it's a little bit short of Patty Loveless' version (which is not a bad thing), but that's probably due to the sparseness. Patty had fiddle and dobro and banjo to accompany her. But this is rock solid. You are very, very good! Look up "Our Town", I think you'd do a good job with it.

Wow, this is just beautiful, my husbands dad was from harlen, i can't wait to play this for him (and learn to play it myself!). she has an amazing voice. This music has the same feeling as some irish ballads i know, think it would go down a treat here (in ireland!)
