im a ref n i would call the first one a foul, and give the player a red card for intentionally kicking the player. n if the second happened, id probably give a yellow. am i right?

the attepmt to kick, red card for violent conduct, if u issue a red there, the second foul will probably not happen.

however, look where the ball is when the contact is made... the tackle is very late and also merits a red red

I love stupid comments like this about referee's, how about you go and become a referee yourself, then im sure you will understand how hard it is sometimes, especially when things happen behind play, or you just happen to be looking in a different direction, even a player in your way can make you miss something.

I find it funny when players complain about a referee when they make a 'controversial' decision but when there is NO referee things are different, brawls happen, all of a sudden a referee is great.

So next time you think a referee has made a mistake, just remember they don't have the ability to stop, rewind the tape and look at the tape is slow motion, they have to make decisions fast, not like some sports where they can ask for a 'video referee' to help. Also, just remember referee's are human, and sometimes make mistakes, i think, as long as everyone goes home, who cares who gets to take the goal kick or corner kick.
