I have a question if you don't mind. Can clicker training work even for cats that don't like treats? My cat won't eat any kind of cat treat whatsoever, and we are going through sofas like water, due to his constant scratching, (yes, we have several cat condos, scratching posts, etc.). How would you use this for a cat that doesn't eat treats?
@voiceOreezn What if you try a wet food he really likes squeezed out of a cheap icing dispenser? You can squeeze out a little dollop instead of a dry treat.
@IIIRuin - I should probably explain.....we have the world's weirdest cat. Won't eat wet food, won't eat treats, won't eat people food, won't even eat tuna! He will only eat one kind of dry cat food, and that's it. We have tried to give him treats, and he turns his nose up. We're getting desperate on training this cat. We can't afford new sofas all the time, and we don't believe in declawing. Thanks so much for your response tho!
You are absolutely right. Not my usual MO. I was very nervous when I was being filmed and didn't have the opportunity to redo them. Hopefully, soon I'll be able to do some others where I'm not a nervous wreck.

I didn't think you were supposed to keep repeating the name either, after awhile the animal begins to just ignore being called.
