this tank is not good for turtles but you dont need a uva or uvb all u need is heat lamp

My 1 inch long yellow belly slider would bite you if u put him in that little plastic death trap and he is in a 10 gallon not half gallon:) For babies at least 4inches of water and you NEED a heat lamp to keep the water warm and so he can bask or watever

for this turtle alone you'll need an aquarium of 1 meter by 50 by 50( water 25 or higher) he'll need an uvb lamp(must!!) and a lamp spot, wich hangs above the island, where the temperature will be 31 to 30 C. A good filter, and variated food, not the stuff you buy in de animalshop... and he'll need calcium, like egg-chell.

@coam2 first of all turtles are a very good choice! now get them a 10 gallon or 15 gallon tank (if they are really small) with a good filter and a heater. after 6-7 months you will have to get a 50 gallon tank because they are going to grow and they love to swim! in the tank put some fish that they can chase to exercise and put if you want aquatic plants! put some rocks it would be good and dont be nervous it will be fine!!

Thats pretty neat. But your turtle will not love long in that. I do not need to be mean but you need a water heater set yo 78-80 degrees. Minimum of a 10 gallon glass tank, a heater will melt plastic. you will also need a basking light for where it will bask at 90 degrees. This will also melt plastic.
