  • There are Japanese songs with yodeling as well, so by the 1950s yodeling had spread to Asia.

  • thanks for posting this, it brings me back to my childhood &he's one of my dad's favorites :)

  • My favorite of all time. Thanks for sharing

  • Is there a newer version on here? I like it louder. But not Youn Sopheap version

  • @ygladybopha

Yes. Unforntunately, I can't recall the production or the performers. Sorry.

  • @sarnserm Thanks for your reply. I liked the one on Angkorwat Production Volume 1 DVD but it's not here

  • @ygladybopha I know theres one by Noy Vannath but idk if its on you tube I forgot where I dl the song from

  • actually the title of this song is thep thida tan kandal. =]

  • Thanks, Nokor, for the correction. I didn't know the song's title, so I gave it "miss" since the song mentions "miss" a lot. :) Btw, "thep thida tan kandal", for non-Khmers, is "earth angel"; " tan kandal" is earth and above it is heaven.

  • Sure, no problem. And YES, it does translate to "earth angel."

  • Don't feel bad Sanserm, I've loved this song for the longest time and have no clue as to what the title is until Nokor had made the correction. Personally, I have always thought this song is titled "Nae Neak Neang Kromom." And btw, I'll be brain twisting your more with Khmer bonjreas, so anticipate more headaches.

  • I'm just glad to have found a piece of Cambodian music history that many many have missed or didn't notice: at least one Khmer knew how to yodel.

As for Khmer bonjreas, bun-two dice ouy knear bun-titch mawr. :)

  • Nice job, but "Nak" is not spelled like that in khmer language. You need to correct it!

  • Yes, you're right. I'll correct it when I translate the song. Thank you for pointing that out.

  • its so original.....who would of thought that yodelling would sound good in a khmer song? Sinn u r a lengend!
