Yes some are uneven. That is so weird but what I do is take a tape measure or ruler and iron down the seam so that is equal. I do this with the front and back of the dress at the same time, that way you can see if it is even. I hope this helps! Thanks for watching . Please subscribe! I am not sure how to make it smaller - perhaps you can fold it in half - double it stitch the casing at the top for the ribbon. It will be doubled but that may work ! People have approached me about smaller ones at shows as well - it's something I will look into.. Let me know how it goes ! Post pics at sugarplumdolls.ning.com/
Oh for the sizes the bandana dress fits a one year old to about a 5 year old as a dress. A slim 7 year old and up could possibly wear it as a top. I have actually tried one on and it fits --although I can't breath :) but it fits ..super tight.. So I guess you could say one bandana dress fits most younger girls! I hope that answer helps. Thanks for your question and thanks for stopping by! I would suggest just getting one bandana and using it as a pattern. I have tried to do so before with fabric, but the problem for me is the edges of the fabric, you have to make a hem and or stitch down the edges, but it can be done, quite simply. I wish you success, please send pics of your dresses, I would love to see them!
what size is the bandana square i just want to use fabric i have. to make up some tops for friends kids for xmas gifts. do you have a rough idea on the sizings?
Hi! Thanks for asking! It is actually a bandana! I get them from Hobby Lobby here in Alabama. I would assume that they have them in all their stores, maybe even online. They are my best sellers! Mommy's and daughters are drawn to them like bees to a flower! The colors are really bright. I have tried using fabrics in the. Past but the bandannas give the most professional edging. Good luck in finding the bandanas. If you have trouble finding them me know and I can put it in my etsy shop.
I was wondering if the pink material in the bandana video is actually a bandana or just material that you purchased. If it is a bandana I've never seen one and where did you purchase it?
I would say 3 year old to a slim 6 year old. Hope that helps, please post pics of your finished dress. THanks for stopping by. Please subscribe and enter my giveaway contest!
This is such a cute idea, I have three girls and they would love this dress. Thanks for sharing!!
