@Ingobernable Eso no es cierto yo tengo uno y suena genial con los pedales. Aunque la distorcion del ampli no es muy buena, con un pedal suena increible!!
@Guitargawd13 If you really want to go for metal it's best to use a pedal (i use a ds-1 and it sounds great), but it's worth buying for the clean channel alone (that's what i did :). It's an amazing amp
I've played the FM212 DSP and in my opinion the effects are pretty bad. I would recommend getting the regular Frontman 212R and a multi fx pedal of your choice. Also the FM series takes stompboxes very well so if you want individual effects pedals then go for it. If you want to hear more of the FM 212R check my profile I have a review of the FM 212R up. Best of luck
Yes the effects loop is on the front of the amp, it's called the Pre In and Pwr Out. I really enjoy the amp, it's a great clean amp, the drive is usable and it takes effects like a champ. Check out my video if you want to hear more of this amp. Good Luck
To those who don't know the FM series is the older Frontman series. The FM range included a all analog FM 212R (which is the one the dude has here), A digital effects version the FM 212 DSP, the smaller versions 15g 15r, 25r, 65r and a half stack version FM 100H. I have the FM212R and it's excellent basic amp.
Yes and no.. The 212R is just a basic 2 channel amp with reverb, without the built in digital stuff that this amp has. Big difference in tone. The basic FM amps with the silver grill cloth sound great. Built in digital stuff ruins amps outside of reverb. Put some decent pedals in front of the basic FM amps and they scream. My little 25R is kick ass. Great for in the house jamming. If you want more bass,, then go 65R or 212R.
The FM and the frontman 212r are diffrent the FM has presets and a black grille cloth. the frontman is not all digital and has real spring reverb and a grey grille cloth(and in my opinion better tone). go to the fender website there is a section called FM amps and a diffrent one for Frontman amps
FM stands for Frontman it's the same amp but you know just a different design. If you get the black version then the FM will be on it the silver it'll say Frontman.
yea it works fine with pedals. you just have to keep the levels low or it might clip. my multi effects pedal works fine. I'd recomend uusing the pre in and out ans an effects loop
