nice jetta man. how much mpg are you getting on it because ive been looking at different cars. i have the same amp as you but i have a polk audio dxi 12 inch subwoofer. im planning on buying a second one with a capacitor
and thats a short ram intake not cold air bub. cold air goes down into ur fender to draw cooler air from Outside the engine bay. ur suckin in all that hot air form the engine with that short ram...its not bad i have the same thing but CAI is i lil better for performance..clean dub tho
@wickedjester9 We drive to Chicago about once a month which is a 3 hour drive for us. So Highway we average 31mpg and city only about 22...my wife has lead foot.
i was wonde3ring where u had got the air intake for your car at? i got the same car and i cant find the right one. iv ordered several and none seem to match up or even fit right?
i own a 94 2.0 with 175k on it and it is still the cleanest and smoothest running car i have ever owned. i also put a cool air intake on mine, it makes it sound alot faster than what it really is. but i will say that the anti theft on it is annoying......
@integraz32lover hey im pretty damn sure you are mistaken. Going to assume you arent much into Vdubs (assuming by your name...), but if you spend 5 minutes on google you'll see a MK4 2.0, whether it be a golf or Jetta, is 115 horsepower. You might be referring to a 1.8t jetta. idk
@bharvey2010 And also does your car burn oil?because When making the piston rings, a whole batch of piston rings had their labels "stamped" upside down. As a result of that, the piston rings were installed upside down when the engines were assembled. This results in premature wear around 30K but this depends on how the car is driven and maintained. Further investigation reveals that it is only cylinder number 2 that has the rings installed upside down.
@z3ro146 Intakes on naturally aspirated cars wont do THAT much for horsepower, but will increase the throttle response and make it feel a bit quicker. Throw an intake on a turbo'd one and its a diff story.
does anybody know where i can get a cold air intake for my 2.0 jetta i went to autozone and they didnt have it in stock i think i need to order it online or something
bro nice car i have 01 golf 2 door same engine i knew 2.0 are bit slow but it does the job,by the way i have the same intake its not a cold air intake its more like a short ram intake i knew it makes the car sound like a vr. with the suspension i say leave it like that i have a lower kit on my car it perforamce good on the corners and high speed but it sucks for the bumps you feel everything. if you want to spend money on the engine you should throw in a neuspeed supercharger.
did you lower it yet? if not then you should check out raceland or rokkor (same thing actually) brand coilovers. they arent aaas good as a $1300 set of H&Rs but they are decent, go plenty low, and can be had for about $350.... no joke.
well, i didnt do the wiring for the amp and subs in the car, they were in it when i got it, but the wire doesnt actually run through the firewall, its runs from the drivers side corner of the hood and into the car.
where did you run the cables for the amp and sub? could you maby make a video showing where there runing because i cant really find a good place in the fire wall to go through thanks
lol "the douchebag that owned it before me"

The rear VW emblem looks like it might have dried wax on it, mine did too. If you take some peanut butter to it, it comes off like a charm ;)

@moto930cross all that is is a silicone adapter on the end of the MAF connected to a universal filter. it's worse than a stock intake.
