How disappointing that Commissioner Stohler exhibits such a narrow vision and limited ability to embrace 21st Century technology. What a shame for us who pay his salary with our hard-earned tax dollars. He ought to be ashamed of himself. We can only pray that he softens his heart and opens his mind.

I'm not sure. We have used teleconferencing for years, but had no formal policy. Commissioner Carpenter used teleconferencing when he was off after an operation and when he was on vacation. I called in once before. In short, a precedent was set. To change established procedure should take place by a vote of the commissioners, not decided by one person. Therefore, a formal written policy is in order so that no one is denied access again.
