  • thanks

i tried the same with turbo but no good result. so i let it.

  • The bike was at a motorbike show in Norway, I know who the owner is but he is not a close freind. The bike is buildt mostly for fun, they used a vw 1.9 diesel turbo. But I don't know if the bike was going any faster after the turbo converting.

  • If the information you gave is correct, I'm not surprised the results were disappointing. Turbo's must be very carefully sized to the capacity of the engine & the speed range where they will be required to operate. At less than a quarter of the capacity of the engine for which the turbo was intended, the turbo probably wasn't supplying any boost at all until 4000 rpm, which is well beyond power peak revs for an industrial diesel! Also the fuelling would need to be uprated to match the boost.

  • hi

where have you seen that bike., who is the owner??

    thanks mh
