The memories just come to me the minute I hear this awesome song by Vera Lynn. My Dad Clarence Ziegler Joined the Army Air corps at age 17 before Pearl, and became a B-29 tail gunner. I go to the Reading WWII weekend every year dressed as a Col. in memory of my Dad. At the end of each of the 3 days anyone dressed for the time is invited to sing on stage with the old time radio people and we sing this song every day in honor of England and the USA. Many a yank married a green eyed English Blonde.
