  • On next sunday I have my Black Belt Test and I´ve been watching this amazing Master of Taekwondo doing the Koryo for the the last 3 weeks!!!...Thanks for the upload!!!!

  • @MrGenji24 That's interesting. What system of Tae Kwon Do (Moo Duk Kwan, Ji Do Kwan, etc) are you training in? I ask, because the Kukkiwon/WTF standard has this form learned after you've reached Chodan.

  • I have to do this form to get my blackbelt !!!!! Im so excited!!!

  • @Daniel11115555 good luck!! think positive!

  • this is a beautiful poomsae..............

  • I do this kata and I do a low kick and then I kick to the head, so if your instructor says do middle and then head level, I hope you stretch:)

  • @AtigerNinjaPringle it's not a kata...

  • Can someone help me please?? I have this poomsae competition soon and I'm going to do this pattern, but my trainer is saying that in the beginning I should make the first kick to the middle and then to the head (which is hard). In all these movies they do the first kick to the lower point and these are supposed to bie from Kukkiwon.

Please, what should I do? Lower or middle??

  • Great presentation of Koryo! Thanks (kam sah hamnidah!)

  • Hi Bruceleevg! Sir, I have been learning all forms till 8, koryo, kuemgang and further on too from you channel. Thanks a ton for the upload and your efforts. Its helped many.

    thanks you.

  • No es por ser nerd, pero si van a sus clases de TKD lo que dice el barrador se entiende, no les enseñan posturas y patadas en su nombre coreano?

  • he makes poomsae looks easy

  • @Rhydon665 I'm scared, cause now I find I can understand korean! :P

  • @cmsahe lol OMG me too! o_O

  • where can i get this video coz i lazy stream so if i forget i can refer it :S

  • I love koryo poomse too. It's so cool, way cool. It makes you feel so strong and confident in yourself. Like you have accomplished something. You wait so long to get to this level to be able to preform this poomse. Why not look and feel confident when you do it no matter where you do it...at home, in the dojang, in your bedroom, basement, backyard...just do it and enjoy it!

  • I love koryo, it's my favorite form out of basic form, taeguek 1-8, and palgwe 1-4

  • get over with the intro would ya? plus no need to watch this vid if ur my belt (black) u should just go to ur gym and learn it, better for ur eyes. :) and of course if ur lower belt KEEP WATCHING its fun ...

  • Im two belts away from Black belt and i know this form :) even though this is a Dan Poomse my school teaches it two belts away from black

  • @atomicpizzabox me too tomorrow the grandmaster from Kukkiwon's coming to test me on my 2nd degree test :/

  • cual es el nombre de los dvds ?

  • Man forms change alot no matter how many classes i go too! >_<

  • @LtActionCam forms supposed to change. you have to remember that we all have different forms and shape, why wouldn't tkd forms? forms may look different, but principle never change.

  • Thank you for this video u have inspired me to begin my trainin again. I left as a 2nd Dan now i will return to get 3rd Dan thanks!

  • misubishi susuki kawasaki

  • I used to be able to do this. Lapsed from taekwondo for 4 years now :(

  • Beautiful demonstration

  • How often does kukkiwon update forms? Are the stances changed too? His stance is skinny and not shoulder width in his long front stances. Is that the update as well? Why do they update forms because it seems to take away from the old original form that was created.

  • @whitedragonawa For wat i know, iv been to alot of different classes in different countries and most have different "small" stuff changed to them. So yeh :]

  • I learned this form to get my red belt a few years ago.

  • there seems to be some leeway for school head instructors to forgo some age requirements for dan levels. I know a 15 year old who is a full fledged kukkiwon 3rd dan.

bren foster is 7th dan and he's only in his thirties. I cant remember the exact age but if I remember correctly kukkiwon officially stated requirements for advanced dan ranks are quite a bit older. I think the real concern is how many years total a person has been training.

  • I personally think you should wait until you are 16 to be a real black belt. It is maturity that represents a black belt that is important, but then people have JR. black belts and skip rank when they are 16 because they know enough to do that.

  • I am learning this for my 2nd degree test on Feb 13th. very cool form.

  • true a underage black belt is considered a poom black belt until the age of 16. You can only goto 4th poom there are no higher. Then when you turn 16 yrs old you can be tested again and be a 4th dan black belt. But to get a 4th dan black belt you have to meet a 25 yr old age requirement. 4th dan is master. you can view all of the requirements at kukkiwon's web site.

  • Not necessarily 'under age'. A poom belt is a junior black belt (anyone under the age of 16). You can LEGALLY be a full black belt once you hit the age of 16. When you are 16, then you can be tested again for a 'full' black belt (I guess, a dan belt). If you're a 3rd poom, then you can be tested for your 3rd dan, but if you do not meet the requirements, then you will be only a first dan

  • im a black belt at the age of 11 and this man really makes koryo really kool

  • im a second degree black belt and im 12

right now im lerning kumjang the form after koryo

  • he makes poomse cool...

  • man, i have to sharpen my poomse. going to fairbanks to competite :D

  • thank you for this info

  • yes these are the most updated version by kukkiwon and WTF.

  • are these the most up to date versions of the poomse. i see the man has kukiwan on his dobok but there are alot of different versions of the same poomse and i would like to know if I am teaching my students the most up to date and official (kukiwan approved) one
