@erlandsson93 Absolutely! Parrots love music and many will dance in response and on time too. Just search YouTube for dancing parrot. Some videos have been dubbed after and some are actually dancing to the music. Avis has a play list with him dancing to music as does Frostie. Also, you can check out Boogie Woogie Cookie Bird. Cookie was dancing to the music.

@erlandsson93 I agree with OnePickieChickie. I've lived with birds all my life. They go crazy when I sing or play music. They have perfect pitch (I can say that for a fact). Arguably, birds invented music long before humans did.

Love it! Same reaction I got when I put my african grey next to my lutino yellow budgie. Was worried too, but they both looked at each other with the look of "im not sure about you, you might attack me". Bo the CAG wanted to groom the budgie, the budgie wanted no part in that!lol

It's amazing how they actually have a definitive sense of tempo to a song. I notice Frosty adjusts his dance when he realizes he's off beat XD.

@Redhalberd I've noticed that too. The interesting fact is that Frostie never danced to the songs I've recorded him dancing to nor had I played them for him. I was visiting him where he was being babysat and the guy who took care of him for two years only listened to talk radio. So, it wasn't like he'd been listening to and/or practicing his moves. Therefore, his dancing was a spontaneous reaction. A good example is God Is Great. Make sure to watch the full version, not the final cut.

@crazygoofy100 Frostie only says: hi, hey, huh, hello, pretty bird and Karla. Avis talks like crazy and says, and this isn't all, "Bye, bye!", "Did you take a bath?", "Avis, come here!", "Ut oh!", etc. He also whispers "Give me a big kiss!" and says, "Give! Give! Give!Give!", when I'm eating something he wants some of.

Check out Avis's play list on my channel. There is one of him taking a bath and talking that is really cute!

@xXwufeiXx Thanks for your comment! There is also Gracie (one video) and Corkie (several videos). Gracie holds a spoon and eats peanut butter out of it and Corkie talks and sings and is very funny and cute! Avis has a play list too and is quite the ham and great dancer!

I am! They aren't allowed near each other unless I am right there. I put them on the organ music rack when I play and they dance together. But, I am within inches of them at all times. I love them both too much to let them hurt each other.

I was just looking at Gracie, the Amazon who is holding the spoon on my channel, and she is blinking. Maybe she's starting to go to sleep. She does have eyelids. Frostie just didn't blink during that video or if he did, he didn't blink very often.

Eclectus parrots are beautiful and have darling personalities. They are very expensive. I don't know if your mom will buy you a parrot or not. The cheapest, best talking parrot is a Blue Crown Conure like Avis. They can be very noisy, however, as can most parrots. I simply point a squirt bottle at him and he makes this little squeeling noise and shuts up right away. Search my site for "Avis" the rent the Disney movie "Paulie". They run about $200.00 or maybe a bit more.

Kewl! Some African gray babies have been know to talk before they left the brooder! It just depends on the bird. You have to be very careful about what you say too because they can hear a word just once and start saying it.
