I dont want to put a finger in the wound. But, Iceland is not blameless for its situation. It let a few domestic banks in the country grow to a size were just a single of this banks were so big that it was way to big to fail. That combined with lax controls of its banks operations led to a disaster bigger then even in the UK or US banks.

Great post. I sometimes think that Max Keiser comes across as a little crazy but in the 1st part of this interview he makes some incredibly astute points.

I'm English and I for one don't think that Icland should not further destroy their economy and independance just so they can curry favour with the very institutions and governments that helped destroy them in the 1st place.
