I like WoW combat more than this game from what I've seen so far..although I still have yet to download and play this one. But, I have to say the graphics so far and the mounts and espicially the ideas WITH 12 DIFFERENT CLASSES appeal to me greatly. I might just switch over, I dunno yet. A friend of mine did and loves it, he's been gone for a long ass time.

@snowfallzz being that I played every MMO to date, reached end-game in almost everyone, especially wow of which I played from beta - endgame WoTLK.

I can tell you AoC is the don of PvP between all other mmos on the mmo market.

However, AoC is dead, population is low, especially at night, that killed it for me :(.

When it became 'unchained' we had a stupid ammount of people join, I'd say probably one in 20 people stayed out of those that joined.

AoC could have been a great success but it fucked itself up. It's still my MMO, such a shame it died.

I'd go back to WoW, as it was my previous love, however, WoW is a FUCKING joke now.

AoC = wonderful graphics but no intelligent storyline.

WoW = quite good graphics from 2009 point of view but a massive storyline that makes you understand what you're doing.

I really don't know what to choose.

@DrStrangebomb1993 The story of WoW reminds me of Warhammer, which it was going to be, but then became Warcraft. I would say, the story in WoW is the typical orc vs human stuff, that we have had for YEARS now. Age of Conan is something fresh and different, very brutal at that (not for kids). Conans story goes way back to 1930, when it was created by Richard E. Howard. Read the books and romans to understand. It's awesome. Most ppl that play wow, I have asked a bunch, don't even know the story ;D

I know nothing of this game, so I shouldn't say anything, but I will. I love how the mount looks while riding it. But... It doesn't spike much interest like WoW mounts... Idk if you can choose from a variety of mounts, but the black horse doesn't do much for me... Or anyone else in their right mind. XD

The game hasn't really been out for that long, just like world of warcraft which didn't start out with much variety i'm sure they will come out with different types of mounts.

Somehow... I don't see WoW going under... In fact, I'd be surprised to see AoC even match WoW in general popularity, or monetary gains. WoW just has a broader audience. Not everyone wants the brutality and adult themes that come along with Conan. Don't get me wrong, I think the game could be fun, but I just very much doubt it'll compare to WoW in the long run.

Be weary, your mount CAN die, and you must purchase another one since it cannot be used.. because it's dead.

Nonetheless, if your mount is well armored I'm sure it can trample a man to jelly.

Just to say, Xaviers, if your mount could die and you had to purchase another mount, wouldn't that make owning a pre-ordered mount pointless?

From what I've heard // believe, your mount can die, yes, but it can also ressurect. I'm not 100% sure but it sounds far more logical than re-purchasing a mount per death, seeing as mounts are 10g (Once again, I am not 100% sure but it's what I heard).

The pre-order has other benefits. You recieve a mount, and a special belt that goes with your character that has more inventory slots. The tertiary benefit and last of all, is the ability to download the game as early as the 14th of May and play it on the 17th of May, 3 days earlier of the official, May 20th release.

As for the mount being able to resurrect, I have read nothing of it, but we will see if the priests in our group can use their AoE res. spell on our pets ;)
