To those who say this is unrealistic simply because they are Christians: Christianity has been the number one most persecuted faith in history. From the times of Jesus (crucified) to Emperor Nero (burned Christians alive for decoration), to modern day China (tortured for following true Christianity instead of government ran churches), and even in modern day America people abhor what Christianity stands for - forgiveness, righteousness, spreading the gospel, etc.
I have to say these people aren't all that bright. If anything, they should be in a backyard instead of near an open street where they are more likely to be seen. Also, they should be leaving a few at a time instead of all at once it order to not attract suspicion.
wow it seems that 10 yrs later its those of non-christian fate (I.E Muslims) who are now like this. they were close but it was backwards. now the christians are marching in the street while muslims pray in secret
What if america wasn't america?!.... its not! Its all a delusion being pepped up by propoganda like this... go read! Find out about the world we really live in...
@usukatlifegodiekthx Although I disagree with what he says about that being the point of the ad, those public churches apparently (from what my friends who've been to China say) are all funded by the government and therefore blast a political agenda above any actual Christian teachings. There are underground churches in China, especially because only one denomination is legal in China and it's the government-controlled kind.
Uh... yeah. I'm so sure that in a fascist America it would be the Christians who were persecuted. Come on, if America ever becomes a totalitarian state, it'll probably be a theocracy. It's not the humanists, socialists, or Muslims claiming the nation belongs to them and nobody else. It's conservative Christians trying to ban lifestyles they don't agree with. And yanno what? They'd still call it America, they'd still wave the flag, and they'd still insist it's our patriotic duty to serve it.
Had you considered that the message was meant to be understood by most people who watched it? That the Christians here represent any repressed religion in a country where they don't have the freedom to practice? Or are you just jumping to wrong headed conclusions that make people hate us atheists?
Regular Message: Aren't you glad you don't live in a warzone.
Paradoxical Message: You actually do live in a warzone.

Why did they all leave at once? They'll all be killed.

@mikhail2689
It's better in secret than taking up entire city streets like in Paris and Moscow.

@hekifier It talks about the possibilities of churches going underground in case ''America wasn't America.'' This does go on in China.
