  • it should have another thing that counterpoints the rotation to the opposite side

then i think the boat goes foward

  • u need 2 eggs spinning in opposite directions 2 go forward maybe

  • youtuubbguy,

yes, I am going to redesign the whole thing, so that the egg is fully underwater and its shaft is horizontal. Its interesting to look at Viktor Schaubergers boat design for the egg propeller. His boat looks like a larger hollow egg, which the smaller egg propeller fits inside of. Perhaps I should make something like that.

  • @spiritelemental Understand the elliptical vortex from micro to macro

the MHD concepts of Schauberger can help you to comprehend the field resonance propulsion principles, we all know about the trout, but very few people comprehend its significance from micro to macro

the field around its body, the infinitesimal elliptical geometry, scale designs and its fluid mechanical-dynamics properties, it can be summed up with schaubergers temperature difference gradient propulsion principles

  • I have bought a new electric motor that spins at 11,500 rpm. I want to connect this to my egg and use a pully system to cut down on noise. Once I do this, my egg will become a super egg, and will spin so fast, that... well.... we will see.. hee hee...

  • I think this concept is very interesting. Though, I don't think using it the way shown in this video is the most effecient way. I think it needs (the egg and it's shaft) to be horizontal and not at angle like seen in this video. Right now, it's trying to push the boat outside of the water.

  • Hi MrfixitRick. Im sure that the boat will be pushed forward in a relatively straight line when the egg propeller is completely underwater a couple inches. But, using two egg propellers would be a good thing because it would allow me to steer and turn around and stuff. In later designs I may make the unit radio controled. We will have to see. Thanks for your interest!!

  • Cool! I like your egg-obsession!

How about use two eggs, one to each side of the boat, like oars. That should drive it forward.

Otherwise you could use a deflector tube or rudder-like flap at the rear to help with straight forward motion.
