hey great paint job! I took my bug to re-paint some parts but the guy was an asshole! It looks good but is not exactly the same color as the rest of the car! What´s the name of the song? Great bug of yours!

Hey, what did you do to lower the front, you have a rockin ride there. I have a 65, and I am looking for a stance just like that. :)

Cheers man. To lower it I welded in adjusters to the beam. Shortly after the respray I raised it up a couple of notches but as the ride was too harsh so if you are going that low I would recomend a set of dropped spindles.

I didnt narrow the beam, appart from the adjusters it is a stock beam. I think it is lowered about 2-3 inches but to be honest I have never measured it.

why did you leave the wings on whilst painting it makes no scence!!-

Makes perfect sence and is exactly how VW did it in the factory.

Loosen the wing bolts and remove the beading. Reduces the chances of damaging the wings while re-fitting.
