  • I just noticed that Owen Wilson played a gym teacher in "Rushmore" and in Wes Andersons new movie "fantastic mr fox". Weird coincidence? Or is it? I kind of felt this movie jumped around too much, adding different story twists and characters that weren't really a hundred percent necessary. Wes Anderson and Owen Wilson probably had good reason for it though.

  • @cartoonguyjimmy That's not Owen, that's the third Wilson brother. I can't remember his first name, but he plays futureman in bottlerocket.

  • Brilliant.

  • best film ever, man

  • Stephen Mccole (Magnus) looks just like Ewan McGregor. Scottish like him too

  • whoa...the credits show a tenenbaum plays the role of contractor. for all who haven't check out the film the royal tenenbaums. another anderson classic.

  • anderson better be revered as a genius in the future, %&*(^&*. all his films are underappreciated.

  • ... This is a weird fucking movie.

  • modern classic.

  • she is not in love with him. i think she values all the things max has done for her and for others, and understand the pain he has about the lost of his mother. Also max was in rushmore because of his mother. Plus max's eyes are like the eyes of her dead husband.

  • She felt in love with him at the end wtf

  • The ending is ingenius. Remarkable movie.

  • Never saw this show or movie whatever it is. Im sure it has significance, i just watched this for the song ahaha

  • anyone want to summarise the movie for me..whats its about? themes?

  • @gymclasshero88 Its about a boy who falls in love with his teacher and befriended a wealthy middle-aged man. The middle-aged man then falls in love with the teacher, who turned down the boys request to a relationship. Boy gets kicked out of school and finds out the middle-aged man is having an affair with the teacher (which doesn't last long). Boy gets man divorced and teacher fired, continues to pursue woman, and the middle-aged man becomes his friend again. Boy then tries to hook them back up.

  • my favourite movie of all time

  • i don't get the ending? who will stay with who? did max get the girl? why did she take off his glasses? it would be impossible to sat she fell inlove with max thanks to one song? ughhhhhhhh i dont fucking get it. the end ruined the whole movie

  • @ifIruletheworld10

You are a little bit slow :-/

  • 'I understand you're a neurosurgeon?

    No, I'm a barber.But a lot of peoplemake that mistake.' :)

  • My wedding song....

  • @MarkBade Mine, too. In 2004.

  • This is one of the few films I've seen where I really connect with a character. Maybe being a smartass 15 year old at the time had something to do with it.

  • Best play ever, man.

  • Huh great song and ending to write something that perfect is amazing

  • Best ending ever man

  • "What did you think, Mr. Littlejeans?"

    "Best play ever, man"

  • best play ever, man

  • And he told me to wear a tie...

  • I convinced my class to play this during our Grand March. My little homage to Wes.

  • One of my favorite endings to a film. Of all time. I love how it all comes together.

  • Max is so talented, he could be a Tenenbaum.

  • 1:43 - 1:51 it's so cute haha

  • I love Anderson's use of slow motion in all of his movies.

I want to dance with Bill Murray!

  • BTW, you can see Alexis Bledel dancing with Buchan in the final shot.

  • i think this just became my favorite movie tonight.

  • That final shot proves that slow-motion during a dance scene is one of the most expressive things you can do in a film.

  • One thing that makes a movie a true classic: a great ending. And this is one of the best, definitely. Such a great closing scene, perfect credit song. Just awesome.

  • a less smug and emotional ferris bueller

  • The endings of Wes Anderson films always leave me a little depressed, not necessarily due to content, but rather because it's over.

  • @caeseroct0 ive just recently got into the guys work, but hes already becoming one of my favorite film makers

  • BEST ENDING TO ANY MOVIE

  • Best Wes Anderson film.

  • Think I just found my favorite movie.

  • one of the best endings to a movie ever.... i could never get sick of it... wes anderson, you genius you!

  • fuck... that was a great movie!

  • If i could go back to 2007 and ask for one favor as the last song for my High School graduation dance... It'd be this oo la la, this song. Not Vitamin C BS bout school. But this. It's the PERFECT high school graduation song.

  • This film is so so cosy...

  • One of the all-time great closing scenes. Every thing gets summed up, just perfect.

    "At least nobody got hurt."

    "Except you."

"Ah, I didn't get hurt that bad."

I love this whole scene, this whole film. Just perfection.

  • @MckyMseNTarotCrds Totally. It's actually....exquisite. The slow-mo lead in the closing dance by Max and Rosemary is just, as you said, perfection :0)

  • I LOVE THE SLOW MOTION PARTS IN WES ANDERSON MOVIES, LIKE NO OTHER!!

  • i wish that i knew what i know now, when i was younger

  • fuck yeah

  • whats the name of the song at the end?

  • @MuellerVLOGS Ooh La La, by The Faces

  • I never noticed this before, but if you see the babe on the right at 1:14 and how she looks at Mr. Fischer...

hoooooooo man he's gettin some tonight.

  • Comment removed

  • bagoda

  • He got the girl in the end.

  • @samyooljackson He did not get THE girl in the end... he got -a- girl. This movie really pissed me off. It was obvious what was going to happen but the whole time you watch it you want him with ..... oh fuck it... i give up.

  • @kyle1058 At the end of the movie, he's dancing with the girl he wanted the entire time. You can't talk about what happened after that because thats the credits all that matters is that he's with her. So he did get the girl in the end of the movie.

  • @samyooljackson She removes his glasses and looks into the eyes of her dead husband, and in the end they both realize something. Max is the subject of the movie, not Miss Cross, but the bittersweet ending tell the story of a platonic love.

  • for fucks sake why in the world would 4 people not like this video??

  • @TheLammeister They didn't pass the entrance exam for Rushmore.

  • interesting flick

  • Such a glorious ending. Perfect.

  • @JoyGrenade What really happens at the end ? i mean it iis currently my 2nd favorite film of all-time but after re-watching it a few more times , i realize i dont understand the ending , can you please help me ?

  • @TheBoysdontcry96 Listen to the lyrics of the song "Ooh La La". The emotional truth of this scene should be pretty self-evident, but basically, Max comes to terms with the fact that he and Miss Cross will only ever be friends. Also, Mr. LittleJeans learns a magic trick.

  • Olivia William's face when Jason Schwartzman says "At least nobody got hurt"... Max when he tells Margaret to dance, saying, "He's my friend"... This is one of the classic finales in movies, and definitely the last time Wes Andersen cared more about the characters than about the mise en scene.

  • they don't make em' like they used to and this was only 12 years ago ! Wes is a god.

  • 1 word 4 letters. Epic.

  • Can you feel the uplift?

  • i got to say wes anderson is great, i loved this and royal tanenbaums

  • Thank you for posting this!

  • There's something about this ending that makes it unbelievably great.

  • i love the little dude dancing at 3:35 in the bottom right of the screen

  • @RunmoreThinkless Same here. lol Awesome film.

  • my favorite ending of all time

  • my favorite movie of all time

  • Wes Anderson is a films Einstein. He has pure talent. I love his us of characters and how the are all relatively the same group of actors.

  • great movie wes anderson is the best director of all time

  • great movie

  • It blows my mind when Max says "Nah, I didn't get hurt that bad." One of Jason Schwartzman's best performances.

  • I'd have cut the scene at 3:05 , or thereabouts. What do you think?

  • @ericberner Are you an idiot?

  • @bfdhvcnvvbjdn A frank discussion of artwork by peers is called a 'critique' and rarely involves the use of the word 'idiot'. Would you like some cream dog?

  • No I'm a barber. But a lot of people make that mistake.

    LOL I love Wes Anderson.

  • wow that was good...

i get so sad when it ends.

  • "Best play ever, man"

  • I've never seen director that could make depression and awkwardness look and feel so surreal, normal and beautiful all at the same time. Thank you, Wes and Owen.

  • Best movie ever, man

  • Wes Anderson need to write all his films with Owen Wilson. When Wes doesn't have Owen as co-writer, his films suffer greatly.

  • no they don't

  • @figocooldude I don't care for the films Wes writes w/out Owen: The Life Aquatic & The Darjeeling Limited.

It just goes to show that Owen Wilson is a veddy talented writer & a big reason for Wes Anderson's early success in films.

  • Yeah I have to agree. after seeing the Life Aquatic i realized just how important Owen Wilsons contribution was to the first three movies. Life Aquatic and Darjeeling Express were OK. but Bottle Rocket , Rushmore and Royal tenenbaums were brilliant. I think they should always collaborate .

  • @epicmeade amen

  • GREAT film...

  • fucking awsome film bill murry what a legend

  • I haven't seen this movie in so long, I forgot how PERFECT the last fifteen minutes or so were.

  • This Wes Anderson film makes me laugh the most. Its too funny.

  • couldn't have ended any better

  • great movie

  • why?

  • wes anderson pulls off vintage america too well.

  • Greatest ending to a movie ever. I hope I have a moment in life like this someday.

  • simply perfect, sublime.

  • I like that little gesture Max pulls off at 2:59 ;)

  • I believe that Rosemary (MISS) Cross did love Max Fischer but she new they cant never be.

  • A nice and unusual film, very entertaining.

  • one of my favorite movie endings. also a good movie to watch with your girl friend or boy friend.

  • This is the dryest movie I have ever seen

  • here is a glass of water

  • part of this movie was filmed at my school and its based off a kid that went to my school a long time ago.

  • wes anderson went to your school?

    cuz its based off him

  • haha 3:15 took her breath away =]

  • What do you think Mr. Littlejeans? Best play ever man...

  • ridiculous..........?chronicle3s of redic???????? some good jumor!

  • One of my top ten favorite films of all time. Downright amazing.

  • My favorite Wes Anderson movie...

  • wez anderson is such a genious, I had never watched this movie until now cause i didnt like Jason in Marie Antoinette nor The Darjeeling, I think this is his best performance...

  • i always wanted to watch this movie and im so glad i finally did. jason schwartzman was fantastic. really, the whole cast was great.

  • Best movie ever man.

  • I love Jason Shcwartzman too. And I loved this movie.

  • i think it's pretty funny, and the acting is amazing. jason schwartzman (max) is my favourite actor. it's a quirky film, and it's different, but it's amazing (:

  • Have you ever read Catcher in The Rye?

  • Now that, is an amazing book.

  • Perfect song for the ending.

  • The king of slo-mo, all hail Wes Anderson.

  • Yeah, I love Margot's slo mo scene in the Royal Tenenbaums when she gets off the bus.

  • She said "too political" like she is speaking Chinese.

  • Beats Ctizen Kane any day.

  • Um - that could be argued.

  • amazing thank you

  • Wes and his motley crue of Wilson's knew what they were doing when they cast Ms. Williams.. Perfect.

  • lmao, it is kind of weird that they're in all his movies...

  • Best fucking movie.

  • Ahhh! Thank you so much for finally putting up the end of this! :-)
