  • MINI!!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@

  • didnt like to edit, missed out parts especially of the Noel Coward part in Prison at the end

  • I found waldo

  • al giorno d'oggi quante persone verrebbero investite tra piazza castello e portanuova xD

  • The remake is an insult to Mini Coopers, E Types, Aston Martins and Micheal Caine! 'You're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!' is one of the all time classic film lines

  • lol the colours of the union jack aswell

  • Where can i download the song?

  • No wonder the Italian economy is so stuffed, too many characters have been knocking off their reserves !

  • It always comes down to bloody gold, does it not ? ☺ This movie sure is !

  • Lame

  • @du24pont70 so are you :)

  • seen this movies so many time but i cant bare the ending i wuss out and stop it before they do you know what to those minis :(

  • I remember loving this movie so much - I saw it in the theater when it first came out - I know, dating myself, but who cares ;-)

When I watched it again recently I wasn't as impressed.... except for the chase!!!! Still awesome after all these years ;-)

  • Thumbs up if you were sad to see the minis go...

  • i only saw the Italien job yesterday and its already among my favourites. epic :D

  • This is the Self Preservation Society

  • Ive got an idea...

  • Great editing..and we all have to admit..this is the only reason why we watch the Italian Job

  • with all the crap sporting results lately, and the recession and war and political scandals, we can look at this, and remember, yes we are still bloody well proud to be british.

  • @ryanwalker91 All right... all right... but apart from better sanitation and medicine and education and irrigation and public health and roads and a freshwater system and baths and public order... what have the Romans done for us?

  • @gallimead political benefits, and showed us a democracy

  • @gallimead Hahaha that's Life of Brian... Peoples' Front of Judea! Love it

  • literally a cliff hanger...

  • thats how to end a film

  • Funny how in those days, in movies, nobody ever got away with a crime. These days the characters get away with murder literally.

  • was gutted when they threw the minis off the cliff :(

  • @BeNjI6576 they were,nt real mini anyway just shell,s of them watched a show once with him on it and he said..!!! the jag,s and aston was real mind..!! the one show i think it was..!!

  • classic. possibly the best car chase ever

  • the original mini is the best car ever ok 2nd

its just after the bugatti veyron

  • well outa sync

  • Best film evah!

  • A Fiat 500 Abarth is better. Today you swap the motor for a Hayabusa motor and you have a pocket rocket on 4 wheels!!

  • i felt bad for the mini coopers at 7:10 :(

  • continuity error 3:14 no cars on roof? and the blue and red cars appear to swap places before descending to the ramp

  • Hang on lads I've got a great idea

  • What I would like to know is how did they get those minis to run through the river. With the distributor at the front of the engine just behind the grille they would conk out at the first sign of rain.

  • And I'm sure that the filmmakers very carefully and conscientiously cleaned up every bit of every car that got pushed off of various cliffs in this movie, didn't they?

In the '60s? Yeah, right. The parts are still lying around, over 40 years later, I'm sure.

  • @hebneh actually if you research it further, the production company involved did do a thorough as the road at the time was the access to a popular alpine restaurant and the restarantuers insisted the wreckage was removed. Added to that I daresay anything left over of three Mini Cooper S's would have been souvenired almost immeadiately.

  • Why can't I find this on my iPhone, when I search through the YouTube app?

  • @59Wolfie

Some vids are barred from mobile devices by the person who posted it.

  • i cried when they crushed the e-types and aston!

  • Makes me wanna get three of my friends and driver those minis around the city blasting this music and driving on the sidewalks!

  • The Alfa Giulia super of the Polizia were actually faster than shown here...

    170 km/h (106 mph) and 0-100 (0-62) in 12 s. Italian cars are as good as british ones ! !

  • @GgSergi

Well, no disrespect to Alfa Romeos, but the Mini proved itself in racing, and won the Monte Carlo Rally three years in a row. It stayed compeitive in touring car racing way into the 1970's.

The mini behaved very much like a go-cart on city streets. The Cooper versions were very agile for its time.

You seem to forget that top speed and acceleration only tells the straight line performance, not how well a car handles, brakes and how fast it can be driven in tricky, narrow streets.

  • all is real no damm CGI god i miss these kind of movies not the crap they have today......

  • Turin is beautiful

  • @Rici011 You're right and I live there!!

  • This movie is incredibly pro-British! Not that there is anything wrong with that. :) Great movie!

  • @TheRedfire555 too right and we will have the world cup one day..............

  • @TheRedfire555 being patriotic is what makes the world such a bad place

  • the only bit of the film i hated, was throwing the cars over the cliff =(

  • Ow we missed the bi twhen the cars fall on the police man car , shame

  • "hold on lads, i've got a great idea" shame we never seen it

  • @keza4567 we were forced to watch billy elliot as english homework =(

  • Films like these - makes you proud to be British!

  • I wish they'd actually made the planned sequel.

  • 7:05 wtf???

  • is it just me that feels sorry for the Mini's being dumped? :'(

  • @izzycroptik Nope. I remember the first time i saw this film, I cried at that part (still do)

  • 6:58 - 7:07 - 7:21 : nnnnoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo !!!

  • 10:11 is the next to last switchback of the road leading to the Col Del Nivolet, Valle Dell'Orco, NW of Turin. And no, the road doesn't lead to Switzerland - end up to the Nivolet, few hundred meters above this spot. Everything there is the same as it was 40 years go, except for the road (a bit larger and completely metalled)

  • I work 500m from 4:11 (the filmakers made it look like it was shot into one of Turin's streets, but it's actually inside a section of Fiat Mirafiori factory)

  • I can't sit in the back of a mini. Way too tiny and close to the ground. Probably a lot of fun to drive though. Love this movie and Michael Caine.

Sad to see the E-Type Jag go over a cliff. :(

  • 3:25 i live 100 meters near this construction...wow!!!

  • they crashed the bus cause of the spirits of all the minis they trashed.

  • My first and favorite movie ever!!<3

  • why in the 50s-60th filmmakers can do such bright films and now they doing just a crap to get easy money?

  • Comment removed

  • one of the best ever film chases ...

  • 7:20 till 7:34... how can anyone call this a "mini" advertisment after seeing that scene?

  • @MrAxemana

Maybe they were trying to say "That's how much you have to do to break one of these things!"

  • 10 minutes of cinematic heaven! What an amazing decade the 1960s was for England: the Mini car, the mini skirt, the World Cup, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones - and this film. Iconic decade. What the hell happened since?!

  • @MaidofKent1965 Dont forget the Fiat 500!

  • @MaidofKent1965

    ...and then came disco.

    NOT GOOD!

    [*_*]

  • @MaidofKent1965 Gordon Brown

  • @MaidofKent1965 The mini is now quite large, skirts is still mini =D beatles doens't exist anymore, stones are old as fuck but still rokcs and these days car chases are mostly CG =(

  • @MaidofKent1965 dont forget the film zulu, utterly amazing.

  • @michaelUNITEDKINGDOM Oops, mea culpa! You're so right - and it was Michael Caine's first major film, come to think of it.

  • 5;51 is the most breath taking part of this clip it puts a lump in my throat to hear those three minis come round that corner onto the home straight...

  • I could watch this once a week and never tire of it !.Brilliantly added enhanced Quincy Jones music to the best part of the movie..Bloody Briliiant 10 / 10 !.

  • Did you know that the film company had to buy the minis to amke the film and they very nearly used something else because of the cost.

  • Did you know that the film company had to buy the minis to amke the film and they very nearly used something else because of the cost.

  • totally outstanding, it has everything.......one of the greatest films ever...but the ending?? a bit annoying really,!!! ah well, its like Britain today i suppose....bla bla. magic..thanks for posting this !!!!

  • Cor, doesn't it make you feel good watching this, a warm glow , the wonderful BMC Cooper S Mk1, and a brilliant sound track, the best ' up yours ! ' movie ever !, thanks for posting it !.

  • Publicity like this and Leyland still couldnlt make a profit!

  • che cazzata di film

  • torino!! this is my city! you should come and visit it! it's so beautiful!

  • Can you picture this using Smart Cars?

  • @ebf1957 no no no, total pile of poo, totally hate those cars!! up there with the Citroen CV !!!

  • If there is one film that gives me positive memories of my life up to where it is now I'm 29 its this one..

Upbeat film, excellent music, excellent cast, some humlorous scenes and Caine got fu**ed even more than the Italian police and Mafia (in some senses of the word) ;)

Never mind The Great Escape, Home Alone or Its a Wonderful Life ... this is the film that needs to be shown each Christmas

  • @Kieronoldham I saw this when I was very young. Was the first movie I watched without a happy ending. Made me really uneasy for months afterward, always trying to think of how it would have ended. Still one of the best I've ever seen though.

  • british movie making at its best

  • 07:12 the white mini literally drives down the hill

  • The mini's make great getaway car's, really blending in with local traffic..

I think fiat 500 would be more discreet, but who cares it's an Iconic film..

  • @alfistii1 The minis would have been a lot easier to drive through all the extremely tight spaces. And they're British made.

  • @alfistii1 The 500 wouldn't be able to outrun the police, unless if the cops got budget cuts and had to use 2cvs.

  • bellissimo!

  • That white mini held up pretty well when they pushed it out. You don't get cars like that nowadays.

  • @richardmaudsley77 Yeah but the red mini exploded almost before it touched the cliff side. Thankfully you don't get too many cars like that nowadays either :P

  • i was injoy it in the "PS one" xD many years ago xD

  • I blame this movie for all the traffic tickets I received as a youth. Sorry thing is that here in the States everybody thinks "The Italian Job" is the remake of the original, which, to me is farce compared to the original.

  • if only we knew that great idea

  • i love how all the extra's were just England Fans there for the world Cup :D

  • lol I only just noticed they drive red whit blue...in order of the union jack lol

  • total classic!

  • i have my own red mini :) am looking at getting 2 more ,it's obv what im trying to archive ;)

  • @MrUnited08 get those lights first.

  • @MrUnited08 and stripes. lights+stripes=completely authentic

  • i didn't get the the first 3/4, which was completly boring, but this bit was quite funny

  • I'd like to know how they got the Minis to drive through the water. With the distributor at the front of the engine just behind the grille, all the HT voltage for the sparks would disappear in the rain.

  • retard cant turn left to avoid the wall 2.16

  • How do you get this version of the song? Can you send it to me?

  • this is an incredible mini advert....plus minis are the best cars ever

  • brilliant film, and the best possible advertisment for the mini cooper that britsh leyland could have wished for.

  • The Mini's were Brummie. Made at Longbridge.

  • That's what happens when you let OJ drive the bus. You know he can't control himself.

  • I Like this Game and Mini Cooper

  • I fell a little bit sad for the Minis! They are destroyed!

  • wtffffffff!!!!!!

  • eugh, noone has the car spinning scene in the sewer.

  • awsome film

  • 6:58 almost made me cry! nooooooooooooooo!

  • best film ever

  • wah danger punya pakai mini lak tu boleh lak lari

  • just for you people who think you know what you are talking about here is the FACTS:

"Mini" was british and the last minis to roll out of this company where the Rover minis in 2000 i should know i own one. The new company MINI which is owned by BMW from germany is obviously not british anymore but have tried their best to keep the spirit of the mini alive abnd have done a good job.

  • Minis were British until about 2001, when BMW began making the new models.

  • Acutally the Mini's in The Italian Job (original) are built by Austin Leyland, there have been a number of versions, it was a cheap car built for the people and cost something around 3-500 to buy, in this movie it is the Mini Cooper 'S' which was a danger to anyone who drive it fast, I know, I had one! Fast? - it was VERY fast!

  • they shud of used bugatti veyrons

  • @MrFaulconbridge You are an idiot. The Bugatti Veyron is too overrated. By the way, it isn't even the fastest production car anymore, if that's the reason you like it so much. Besides, Veyrons would never be able to perform some of the stunts that the Minis did in this scene. Don't get me wrong; I love the Bugatti Veyron. I just don't like how overrated it is.

  • @ZehArbitor4923 Yes I know, The SSC Ultimate Aero TT set a new record of 256mph back in 2007. Bughatti Veyron is only good for speed and does not have the best handling and I think its quite ugly to be honest compared to other cars.

  • MINI and Mini are exactly the same you spas

  • @slorterking1 Actually, MINI is a subsidiary of BMW... Mini, on the other hand, was an Austin and Morris property, and then its own brand. the current MINI is also bigger and chunkier compared to the original--something attributable to the Germans.

  • no...Mini is a German company as it is owned by BMW....

  • @slorterking1 no. MINI is a german brand. Mini is British.

  • @slorterking1 NO,BRITISH ALL THE WAY!

  • @slorterking1 lol british is a british car cos if u look at the old 1s its badge looked like the england flag

  • A mini is actualy German :P

  • @slorterking1 hey the mini is british through and through germany have VW

that is bloody shit comperd to our lovely little mini GB for ever fuck germany stick VW up the arse so get your facts right !!!!!!!!

  • Kinda makes me glad to be British.

  • @ClaW177 a-men!

  • assolutamente geniale!!!!

  • I love the original mini!! The movie was fantastic...

  • Literal cliffhanger ending, lol

  • oh yeah!

  • @maxpowers518 lol

  • 4:51 Mini: 3 Alfa: 0

    XD

  • one word can describe this film: epic

  • quincy jones did this song?!?!

  • if you don't bloody like don't watch it

  • @MrRegan2u thank you!!!

  • this film makes me proud to be british.seen the remake??? i havent either

  • if you havent already... DONT!

  • poor minis

  • does anybody know what building this is?

  • Comment removed

  • @Strawberrycream69 Fiat car factory

  • Comment removed

  • at 4:15 the cop is all like OMFG AHHHHHH!!!

  • it is a very nice movie but it is a little bit unreal for the location

  • i like how the directors made the black man to be the one who fucks it all up at the end

    hahaha

  • I noted that too, away back when. Thankfully this has not been made into something other than a likeable villain getting it wrong, with his daft mates in a daft bus.

And if you want to talk colour, brother, the man who composed the music, which makes this English film what it is, is also a coloured American gentleman. Of some repute.

    All the best.

  • @kirkwallboy

    All the best brother

at last someone on youtube who talks some sense

  • Comment removed

  • nah, they only had one, and they crashed it last week! trust the carabineri lol

  • Comment removed

  • My Fav film !! Watch at 2:52...the red mini peels off to the right...but then somehow manages to come back towards the police car from the left !! LOL ;-)

  • Well, that just shows the flexibility of the mini when he/she/it is among the gang. Being politically correct here, you understand.

Personally, I think that the mini is such a genius machine, and becomes a part of somebody when they drive it, that, well, mini is a little human!

I've owned minis all my driving life, and when I jump in one, and rocket around the roads, I think, why the f*ck am I driving anything else, smile attached to face.

    Fave film too. lol

  • I learned to drive in an original-white-with-a-stripeCooper - would you recommend the new one at all? T'would have to be a year or two old.... thanks ...and possibly a convertible for our lush-long summers :0/

  • the best car chase you will ever see complete with brilliant music from start to end

  • that bit driving around in the water was fantastic,my mini used to conk out if i sneezed near it,still the best car ever made even if it was the worst built car ever made!

  • My dad test drove a Mini in 1959. He could get the damned gear box into reverse so he got out, and picked up the front of the friggin thing, moved it over drove it back to the sales lot and said "no thanks!" True incident! He didn't care for my Lotus Super Seven either!
