First, I want to introduce a little thing about myself. I am a true Libacaonon by blood, heart and soul. A freshie college student, still unaware of the complexities of life dealing with a certain kind of society. Still struggling how to survive life in this present time. And now since I am building my good future, I am 58.8 miles away by distance or 123 miles away by displacement from our beloved town.
I am supposedly writing my blog right now for my communication1 subject or maybe trying to answer my take home long exam in psych10. But here I am in front of my laptop wandering the beauty of having unlimited wifi access in our dorm.
After trying almost all the personal quizzes in my facebook account, after unlocking some of the news in my friendster account, after uploading photos in my multiply account, after updating my status in my plurk account I tried the youtube. Then I paused for seconds what to type in the search box. Then all of the sudden I am already tapping the keyboard, L-I-B-A-C-A-O.
Perhaps in my thought to view again the effects of Bagyong Frank, but I was surprised that some of the search results were pertaining about the estaka thing, more surprisingly when I read the title Pres. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo visited Libacao, Aklan. Honestly, first thing that popped my mind was, Oh!so for the 2010 election? Very strategic, also Atienza was there, Madam also distributed cash, yeah, very tactical!
An epiphany that not all first impressions last. The video posted was the biggest, the very thing that could clean my sullied mind. Which I only entertain the not so good idea about something.
I assume there were really pressures on Hon. Navorosas part, as well as to other officials since when I was home last July, what I remembered when I with my friends visited the estaka was still in ongoing construction. And to know that Her Excellency Arroyo, personally would be visiting and inaugurating the project were two of the great factor.
But I can see the prodigous effort of everyone preparing for the momentous event in our town. Amazingly to know that Libacaonons were super excited from the start of the preparation til when Madam President left. I can see in their faces the same glee as when Estrada and Kabayan visited our town couple of years ago. I can see the delight of pupils while waving their flags when the Presidential bus was approaching the bank.
I can also feel the tremendous happiness of our folks accepting their cash assistance. As well as the startling effect on Madam Presidents eyes how Libacaonons welcome her with very big hearts. I appreciates those group of individuals who offered their time and talent to add more color to the event and also to the Parish Team Ministers.
Hi sir. Nilo here. the one who took video footage and made the edits. Thanks for your comments. Im happy that you appreciate our humble work for Libacao. In reference to Frank, you could also watch my latest video post in Youtube a full length documentary on typhoon Frank as it lambasted Kalibo. Just type "Typhoon Frank in Kalibo". It is composed of 4 parts (1 to 4) 37 mins. total. Pls watch.
Hoping that the 1. 28 km Mega River Control Project will not come to waste but to safeguard the whole province of Aklan when (well, Im not praying for it) another Typhoon Frank hits us. And also, may those cash assistance would really help Libacaonons in their ardous life.
All I can attest is a double thumbs up to Hon. Navarosa and his whole administration for another job well done! Another demand was surpassed, another commemorative event had happened, another achievement was fulfilled and another way that would lead Libacao into a progressive town.
