  • underrated movie...

  • Very sick movie

  • This side or the other

  • best seperation letter read in a movie, " Like a Boss"

  • Great soundtrack, too. One of the best quotes I've ever heard: "No matter how much you change, you still have to pay the price for the things you've done."

  • This movie was garbage

  • @rodthepimp you probably saw it after you got high

  • i was about to cry then i saw it was spanish =[

  • @joshuaANDlauren what?

  • @joshuaANDlauren It's Portuguese, you idiot...

  • @joshuaANDlauren is portugueish retarded

  • hey youtube. First of all I wanna tell all people that this movie is great!

then I wanna ask you this.

What is the name if the track we hear in the backround? Its awesome, please help me find this song.

  • @tubenbosse It's called The Letter. Makes me cry, it's so beautiful.

  • @satlovessrk thanks alot! And Indeed, it is beautiful.

  • Ben Affleck is such a great actor!

He has matured alot since Gigli as an actor!!

He's so great My favorite actor!

    -looooooove you Ben!

  • Why does he stay in America? If the FBI are hunting me down, I'd get the fuck outta the country.

  • @Bojaxs America is a massive country, going in a different State is like going in an other country. Just changing your look and going in small town areas makes it even harder for them to find you.

  • Good soundtrack

  • muy buena quiero verla otra vez

  • Ben, please stay this side of the camera....let ur brother stay on the other side...

  • cant believe this is the same armageddon and gigly ben affleck

he has really matured as an actor

  • I can' t remember how many times I saw this movie. A lot of people want to change but don'' t or can' t. Dougie inspirerd me to change. I got a on road!

  • dear claire.....

  • Like so many commentators here, I'm simply blown away bu the quality of this movie and Afflect's incredibly brilliant direction. But there's something so moving, something that speaks directly to me in this scene and the letter that it almost haunts me. I can't get it out of my head - no matter how much you change - you still have to pay the price for the things you've done. But I know I'll see you again - this side or the other". For me, it can only be the other and then I can say I'm sorry..!!

  • @MARKGPL I guess it's a passage of hope when there appears to be no hope at all. If we lose someone we love, through all the pain and grief, we eventually are comforted knowing that we will be reunited on the Other Side.

  • best movie i ve seen in 5 years

  • Great movie! Deserved atleast one oscar.

  • what the music in this part of the movie

  • So did Doug or Claire make the donation?

  • Good movie - Can't believe Affleck can direct and act so well !! The actor has matured - and has come a long way from the horrendous Phantoms Gigli and Armageddon trash he had become stereotyped with...

  • Such a poignant and awesome film. Congratulations on a job well done, Mr. Affleck and fellow cast members. :)

  • THIS MOVIE IS SO TOUCHING TO ME

  • Idk which movie i like better "The Town" or "The Shawshank Redemption" they are both very touching thats all i have to say...

  • i see the movie a few minutes ago .. and damn this movie its so good ... this part make me cry ! hahah well just a little and im a guy ! hahaha

  • @matutee321 go watch "The Shawshank Redemption" you will cry at the end of that movie i did and im a guy...

  • I thought the music sounded like Band of Brothers intro.

  • the music sounds like finding nemo haha

  • @TheJrobles15 omfg i said that at least four times through out the movie

  • You cannot mention The Shawskank Redemption and The Town in the same stinkin' breath. It's not the same vicinity, it's not even the same fuckin' time zone.

Take out the slow boring and plodding parts of Shawskank and you have a nice half-hour comedy. The Town has precision frenetic editing, visceral details and palpable characters f'crissakes. That Affleck guy is now officially "Wicked smaHt!"

I'd buy him a beeHr any place naHth of the bridge.

  • @zippyman818 dude The Shawshank Redemption is the best movie ever did you see it...well if you did the ending is the best by far and you know it...

  • @RebelGuy10100 The END of Shawshank is great, no doubt!

The problem is that you have to do a full nickel yourself to get there from the beginning! The END of Shawshank is a great spoiler. No one buys it on DVD to pull out the nuances and things they missed the first time. Two hours twenty-two minutes long, wow.

  • @zippyman818 I bought it on DVD because those "boring" parts is where the story is. What's the ending without the story before it? Plus, a lengthy film can be lengthy if necessary and Shawshank accomplished much in its pacing and engaging, character-driven story. The director did a fantastic job. On the other end, so did Affleck. I hold a lot of respect for him. He's so underrated. But I definitely don't think either film is better than the other. Like you said, not comparable.

  • @BatMak23 Oh, that's a good argument for The Shawshank Redemption. There are a lot of details and character development in the middle of the movie. I guess it portrays prisonlife in that era so well, that it can tend to depress the viewer's spirits; much like the inmates it portrays. Mmmm, maybe that was the director's intent.

When dialogue from "The Town" shows up on gameshows and trivia games, then I'll be ready!

"Can I have Ben Affleck movies that didn't suck for $2,000 Alex?"

  • NEED THE MUSIC!

  • @ColeHan100 have you seen The Shawshank Redemption well just to tell you you might break down in tears after watching it...in my opinion the best movie ever is The Shawshank Redemption and second best is The Town

  • the song sounds like the finding nemo intro "nemo egg"

  • An absolute brilliant movie.

  • GOOD MOVIE!!!!

  • Beautiful Video.....♥♪♥♪♪♥

  • i love this part it is so sad though

  • its almost the same ending as "The Shawshank Redemption" except in that movie Andy and Redd meet up on the beach (best ending ever by the way)...in this movie Doug and Claire never meet up with each other by the letter thing is still the same

  • you ended the clip to fast, it doesn't go right

  • omg does he die at the end?...

  • @lovesababe no

  • @lovesababe no dumb bitch

  • @biffnacid im sorry but that would be so dumb lol. The story is good the way it is.

  • Jolene by ray lamontagne

  • Does anybody know the title of the song who is next?

  • i loved this movie, i would really like to see ben do some type of sequel to it, i think something on the lines of frawley trying to catch doug while hes on the fugitive and dooug trying to re-connect with claire.

  • Watched this movie like 8 times, can you say awesome fuckin movie?

  • Watched this movie like 8 times, can you say awesome fuckin movie?

  • Awesome movie, watched this on a flight to Dubai on Emirates airlines made time fly past. Bravo Ben Affleck Bravo

  • this is a fucking great movie!! anyone who said ben affleck cant act go fuck yourself!

  • can anybody say the name of the song or who its by in the ending scene?

  • @hy3unit It's called The Letter.

  • i fucking love this movie, watch it atleast once everyday for the past 7 months. NO LIE this is an amazing movie, the quotes, the lessons you learn, leaves me speechless

  • This is so true you still gotta pay the price for things you done

  • ah yes, now i remember..was such a great movie! very great quote!

  • the music in the background sounds like the theme from the band of brothers

  • Can Ben Affleck direct a touching movie or what?

First Gone Baby, Gone and now this. Please Ben, don't stop directing movies!!

  • @jorgekluney He had to atone from some real clunkers there, like "Reindeer Games."

  • @zippyman818 LOL!!!! That's true. Sadly though, "Reindeer Games" isn't the worst of some of his. Still though, there's no denying the man can direct. He was pretty solid in The Town as an actor too. I can't wait to see Ben direct Casey again.

  • @jorgekluney Oh yeah.. Now youre talkin' x)

Ben Affleck is such a good director! I totally agree with you!

    He's simply my favorite actor!!

  • u.u

    It's so sad!

  • Such an epic last line...I've listened to this final dialogue at least a hundred times lol...simply amazing

  • the last line is probably one of my favorite movie quotes in any movie

  • "no matter how much you change, you still have to pay the price for the things youve done...but i know ill see you again, this side or the other" so true...so sad but true. sadly, he probably would never get to see her again, not on "this side" anyway

  • @beatnut05 absolutely... it's such a great movie!

  • @beatnut05 nah he left that orange to tell her that he was going to florida they will meet up again there once the cops are off her ass.

  • @beatnut05 its alomst like "The Shawshank Redemption" when Andy and Redd meet on the beach thats only if you have seen it...it is the best ending ever and this is the second best ending ever

  • @RebelGuy10100 thats a good movie to

  • @beatnut05 Unfortunately, I don't agree with you.. He kept his promise.. he came back for her.

  • @Emmyist how do you know he kept his promise? I really REALLY want to believe he did, but it would be so difficult for them to meet again.

  • @ninialoqita8 I know that he kept his promise. there was a commentary between them 2 in real life, for the movie.. shame u didnt see it, its on twitter though, it was a live broadcast.

  • @Emmyist I know he came back for her! thats what im saying.... try reading better?
