Mahalo for sharing your beautiful performance to all of us. It brought back memories of my kumu hula and friend who passed away tragically. He taught me the dance (his own version). I, along with the rest of his haumana, however, only performed it twice - at our ho'ike and his funeral. I never thought I would have do the latter but as my personal tribute and thank you to him and fighting back the tears, I managed to get through the entire song like everyone did.

BEAUTIFUL, PEACEFUL, & GRACEFUL. I just learned a dance to this song, but the choreography is different.

But, the song is so amazing and moving! Our class at the studio I dance at originally learned it to perform at weddings or anniversaries that we booked. I'm so excited to dance to this song for my parents' 15th anniversary. Since it's one of my mom's favorite songs, she'll love it even more!

Thank you for your quick response. I would like to use your choreography as best that I can follow. It's pretty detailed. I don't know what proper etiquette is when you put your dances on you tube for the world to see. But I would like your permission to use your motions. It doesn't get any better than that. Just came across this video by chance, and I have say, you're a very good hula dancer, and so are the both hula sister's! I was wondering if your hula sister on the left of you, is Malie Slade? If she is (I know this video is about 4-years old), I viewed her story about her early tribulations, and was touched by her story. I'm glad she found comfort from her mom & pastor during those difficult times, and watching her husband, and son on the stage was very touching to see.
