It seems like just yesterday that I watched this video for the first time. I watched it the second it came out and at the time I didn't think my year could be starting off any worse. I'd gone through a horrible break up, and was hopeless. I watch this video today as a new, hopeful and happy 16 year old. I love you, Kandee. I don't know what my life would be like without you. Of course there will be some who don't want to hear it, but there's others who's hearts are ready to receive and you could be the one they'll actually listen to. 2010 was a hard year for me, I lost both of my grand fathers exactly 2 months apart from each other. Their deaths were both very sudden and shocking to our family. In a way, I'm glad the year is over because its a new beginning, but on the other hand, knowing that the last time I had seen either of them was in 2010, it is very hard to let it go. It's kind of bitter sweet, Thanks Kandee for your kind words and I hope to have your positive attitude in 2011. xox

yeah my 2010 sucked i turned 16 on the 12th of november and on the 14th of november my grandpa passed away and i had to basically watched him go without being able to help and it was the hardest thing ive ever had to do in my life but heres hoping 2011 will be better

You're amazing. I've been really angry with my dad for things he'sdone when he was drunk and I was starting to get fed up with him and I wanted to be done trusting him and caring about him b/c all he does is hurt our family but you helped me remember that the only reason people hurt others is because they're hurting themselves. It's a cycle and unless you show people forgiveness and kindness and support them the hurt will bring you down and turn you into a bitter angry person too.
I don't think it matters very much that she chose to include a religious story in this video, any religion/spiritual belief can be substituted for christianity here to support Kandee's message. I personally do *not* believe in god, but I do believe in optimism, forgiveness (of *yourself* and others) and just being the best person you can be.

I don't think it matters very much that she chose to include a religious story in this video, any religion/spiritual belief can be substituted for christianity here to support Kandee's message. I personally do *not* believe in god, but I do believe in optimism, forgiveness (of *yourself* and others) and just being the best person you can be.

@whelkpeopleofdoom Oh, finally! I mean, I've never been to the US yet, but I can assure all of you that I watch tons of american television. And god's everywhere. God showed me the way, god helped me out of my addiction, god saved my life, god gave me strenght... I mean, believe whatever you want but what I wanted to point out is that I live in a country which is catholic/christian by definition and nobody talks sooo much about god as you people do. That leaves me quite puzzled. O_o

thanks kandee you are an amazing woman ur family should be proud to have you in their lives. my first baby was born april 2010 and she is suchs a blessing to me my dr messed me up after i had her so ive been having to deal with that an my baby is 9 months old and i still havent been able to have intercourse with my husband so im praying for a miricle to happen bc i have alot of female problems now. but thank you kan i always enjoy ur videos

Thanks so much Kandee for your inspiring message. You have no idea how much I needed to hear your positive words. I just found out two days ago that my ex boyfriend was seeing someone else during our relationship. I can't tell you the amount of pain I felt to find that out, although it happened months ago. The news was a devastating start to 2011, but I really don't want that to affect me and my outlook for the coming year. Thanks so much for reminding me to let go. Have a great year.

I think the girl wasn't giving the whole truth, but again, nothing too concrete. And we love you Kandee. @TheGossipPrincess1 it actually ended up being a huge scam, and the girl turned the whole thing around and tried to take kandee to court for ridiculous reasons. anways kandee had a video up that i think she took down explaining this and telling everybody to always try to help people no matter what.

I have been betrayed and hurt by my family and it has been hurting me for over a year now. I have been carrying all this hate and anger towards them, and watching your video just made me forgive them. i was crying through this entire video because it was the relief of releasing all this anger. thank you so much kandee!! you have no idea how much this helped!!
