only scotland can give you this land this music this love and am proud to be so scottish and once i get my future wife wed i hope this will be played at my wedding love you sandie xxxxxxxxxxxx marco dumbarton scotland.................
I walked that footpath with my late Dad in 1988 when we climbed Ben Nevis for the first time, Fantastic climb and I had the hang over from hell that morning we set off lol.
Hey dumbwit, presume you actually know this anyway - 'Last of the Mohicans' is based on a Scottish tune written by a Scottish artist. You're the clown.
This is a great video, roddymck. Ignore this A--hole "mrarratoon". "IT" is is one of those trolls who goes around posting hater comments on everybody's Scottish videos. I've seen it's rude comments on many others' videos too. Cheers.
Very beautiful landscape! Parts of the trail look just like the Great Smoky Mts. here in E. Tennessee! (My beautiful home. )It's no mystery why my ancestors (and many other Scots immigrants) chose to settle here.

One of my favorite movies, and the music made it so. I grew up in upstate NY, unfortunately too far west (flatlands around Buffalo and Rochester). But farther east is some of the most beautiful country on the planet, hauntingly lovely, like this music, so aptly chosen for such a fine classic film. Time for a rewatch. And re-listen.
This video is simply brilliant, beautiful and harmonious image profiles, I know one day all this paradisiacal place, congratulations ... I have a video that you want to look is just paste the link in the bar after youtube /watch?v=42JhgBotuYs
i can feel your love for these brooding lovely mountains. how much i wish to learn of them! and, I think, the music fits so well the proud stark beauty of their faces...and stirs all celtic blood awake to embrace their poetry. thank you!
in a real life a last Mohican's are been killed on that spot i was study a history and now i m hooligan and professor of the history and i say to you all the last Mohican's are been killed on that spot..........Enjoy
I'm noticing by your PHRASING you are not american. Where does your historical expertise come from? Do you consider that you have historical factual evidence that is stronger than we americans have?
Just came across this video. Great music but also brilliant record of the walk which I did not long ago. I didn't get many photos (as I was holding on to the path with my teeth!) so yours more than make up for it.
That is a traditional turkish country music, it is really astonishing to hear, 1000 year old historic music with the name of the last of the mohican. Privacy ??
Provide your evidence. Who are you claiming wrote it and explain why the song sounds decidedly UNturkish. I'm not knocking turkish music, just saying this song sounds a LOT NOT turkish.

Great video, soundtrack really does this justice. if any body is interested there is a charity event in may to take on the Great Glen Way its a awsome challenge for those interested in it!!!

Do you guys think that's played on a violin or a viola? It sounds almost too deep to be a violin. I can't tell.

Hello, could you please tell me what the song is called? A quick answer would be great because i need it for a school projekt, thank you.
MasterOfDisaster93 4 years ago
Been told the following: -
"Last of the Mohicans" is actually 'the Gael' written by Dougie MacLean.
The version I used though downloaded from the soudtrack score as 'The Kiss'.
roddymck 4 years ago
More specifically, it is based on MacLean's "The Gael", but otherwise composed by Trevor Jones (who also did the music for The Dark Crystal).
