  • I walked that footpath with my late Dad in 1988 when we climbed Ben Nevis for the first time, Fantastic climb and I had the hang over from hell that morning we set off lol.

  • @unholymudvayne Glen Nevis is in Scotland.

  • Beautiful music!!!

  • love the music

  • Hey dumbwit, presume you actually know this anyway - 'Last of the Mohicans' is based on a Scottish tune written by a Scottish artist. You're the clown.

  • This is a great video, roddymck. Ignore this A--hole "mrarratoon". "IT" is is one of those trolls who goes around posting hater comments on everybody's Scottish videos. I've seen it's rude comments on many others' videos too. Cheers.

  • You're right. Dougie MacLean's song the Gael

  • Very nice. I love it.

    Thank you

  • sorry

  • that is Indian's land!

  • this is scotland dumbass

  • Very beautiful landscape! Parts of the trail look just like the Great Smoky Mts. here in E. Tennessee! (My beautiful home. )It's no mystery why my ancestors (and many other Scots immigrants) chose to settle here.

  • It IS Tennessee, and also Western North Carolina.

  • Very very beautiful video!!!

    Thanks!! =)

  • Amazing music, and what an excellent accompanying video.

We'll go to Scotland by interrail, walk whw and then just drive around the highlands by train visiting every location we like!

    :)

  • One of my favorite movies, and the music made it so. I grew up in upstate NY, unfortunately too far west (flatlands around Buffalo and Rochester). But farther east is some of the most beautiful country on the planet, hauntingly lovely, like this music, so aptly chosen for such a fine classic film. Time for a rewatch. And re-listen.

  • who composed this song?

  • dougie mclean composed it you should go check his stuff out

  • i can feel your love for these brooding lovely mountains. how much i wish to learn of them! and, I think, the music fits so well the proud stark beauty of their faces...and stirs all celtic blood awake to embrace their poetry. thank you!

  • Walked and climbed that track in the summer of 1994. Unfortunately it was not such a clear day then.

  • music name plz/? i love it!!

  • From the film 'Last of the Mohicans' the soundtrack used on this vid is as follows:- (1) The Kiss (2) Promentory (3) The Kiss.

  • Yes, it is celtic in every part, but maybe north american indians likes that kind of music.

  • last time i walke4d thru glen nevis was on the way to rannoch many years ago nice to see it again thanks for posting

  • I was captivated by the scenery and music. Thanks for this awesome view.

  • You must search on eMule "Last of Mohicans soundtrack" and you will find many of them included this one, named as "Irish"...

  • I'm noticing by your PHRASING you are not american. Where does your historical expertise come from? Do you consider that you have historical factual evidence that is stronger than we americans have?

  • Great sound,i love this music

  • Just came across this video. Great music but also brilliant record of the walk which I did not long ago. I didn't get many photos (as I was holding on to the path with my teeth!) so yours more than make up for it.

  • Some off the best sound...

  • this songs is top, but sounds much better when played on the movie =( thats hollywood for ya

  • the song got a name or anything ?

  • From the film 'Last of the Mohicans' the soundtrack used on this vid is as follows:- (1) The Kiss (2) Promentory (3) The Kiss.

  • The song's original name is called The Gael, it is Scottish.

  • sweet cheers mates

  • such a "POWERFUL" song...

  • That is a traditional turkish country music, it is really astonishing to hear, 1000 year old historic music with the name of the last of the mohican. Privacy ??

  • Provide your evidence. Who are you claiming wrote it and explain why the song sounds decidedly UNturkish. I'm not knocking turkish music, just saying this song sounds a LOT NOT turkish.

  • written by dougie mclean a scotsman ! check you tube video

  • what is it called pleasE? iam sure it is scottish! plz i really need the name?

  • it,s called the gael and was written by dougie mclean,he also wrote caledonia, try creed assasins last of the mohicans hope this helps

  • produced by dunkeldrecords and was originally written by dougie mclean, it,s called the gael, he also wrote caledonia, traditional celtic folk music band and has written many more tunes for other films

  • its a violin but in scotland we call it a fiddle. enjoy.

  • Do you guys think that's played on a violin or a viola? It sounds almost too deep to be a violin. I can't tell.

  • it is on the violin.

  • Great video, soundtrack really does this justice. if any body is interested there is a charity event in may to take on the Great Glen Way its a awsome challenge for those interested in it!!!

  • (1) The Kiss (2) Promentory (3) The Kiss.

  • yay ty :)

  • Hello, could you please tell me what the song is called? A quick answer would be great because i need it for a school projekt, thank you.

  • Been told the following: -

"Last of the Mohicans" is actually 'the Gael' written by Dougie MacLean.

The version I used though downloaded from the soudtrack score as 'The Kiss'.

  • More specifically, it is based on MacLean's "The Gael", but otherwise composed by Trevor Jones (who also did the music for The Dark Crystal).

  • What a beautiful country.
