In Florida, several people each year are killed by lightning while on the beach during storms. I live in Utah now, but when I lived near Orlando, I spent many nights camping at Jetty Park. Back before 9/11, people could stay on the pier all night long, and walk on the beach near the pier. There is a webcam for Jetty Park, and you can watch the cruise ships depart from Port Canaveral. I miss the good times I had fishing and just hanging out at Jetty Park.
