very interesting would also be if JK writes a book on Bellatrix's life before Voldemort and what made her follow him...u know, in the books we just read her as the "most loyal follower of..." "the craziest of the death eaters" etc...i would read a book based on Lestrange's past before voldemort and her years at hogwarts with him as Tom Riddle! definetely! :D

I might be alone in this but I really don't get the people who say Bellartrix is their favourite character, or even that they like the character. This is a character who is evil, racist, sadistic, "perverse" as Jo says, and enjoys torturing people, including a 17 year old kid. WHY would anyone like someone like that? What is likeable about her?

@TraffordReds9 I think it's because she's a sexy badass independent woman who can do whatever she wants and not have any consequences for her actions...plus she's got a ton of energy (running, screaming etc) which its very entertaining AND she's got some very witty lines. She is also strong, loyal, brave...and she doesn't give a crap about what others think about her. Shes just overal cathartic to watch and read about...Does that help? or do you just think i'm mad in the head now? haha

@carogirlyaya Her 'dgaf' qualities are not enough to make me like her. She's still a sadistic killer who murders her own family members, tortures kids and worships a Hitler figure. Tonks was energetic, I'd prefer to like her for those qualities. Luna doesn't 'gaf' what others think of her, I lile her for that reason. Nothing could make me like such a loathsome creature as Bellatrix. Plus she hates Mudbloods & I'm a Mudblood!

@TraffordReds9 I completely understand why you don't like her-if you look at the facts she IS a horrible person. I think that people tend to OVERLOOK the negatives because she's not real-either because its cathartic to be bad every once in a while or some other reason - BUT, if any fan of Bella, were to experience her in real life, i guarantee that they would not like her (unless they're mental). You look at her realistically, others dont & that probably makes you a better judge of character :)

That's different from people saying they 'like' her, or that she's their favourite character, especially they can't find any redeeming features in a character even Jo admits is vile. Interesting, sure, but likeable?

Joanne Kathleen Rowling is my heroine, and I LOVE that she can be a feminist while writing an epic about a boy-wizard, because it shows that her feminism is not about male-hatred (misandry), but about promoting the virtues of feminity, of being female in a male-doniated world. Jo understand the balance, and the difficulties women face, trying to be accepted for more than just the way they look. I LOVE this woman and I don't care who knows it!!!
