True Sikhs owe a great debt to Bhai Mardana and equally to his generations. Sikhs should honour Bhai Lall ji and his Jatha for keeping the gurbani- kirtan singing alive even after 17 generations. They deserve the respect and support of every true minded Sikhs.

We should denounce the present day 'mahants' (SGPC, All five Jathedars etc), who do not allow these true followers of Guru Nanak to singh shabads at Darbar Sahib Amritsar. True Sikhism is not in growing long beard or hair or five Ks.

It has to be verified whether the voice belongs to Bhai Lal, the father of Bhai Shaggan, or it the most probably the voice of the contemporary Bhai Lal from Lahore, also a Rababi.

The thing to note is that if there a live recording then this recording should have been made before 1947. I wonder if there were portable recorders then?
