Playing drums on video games is a lot closer to playing actual drums. Unlike guitar. If someone can play stuff like this on Rockband/Guitar Hero.. most likely they have the skill to play real drums.. I play rockband drums on expert and real drums.

@Azzurolix But musicianship has very little to do with reaction speed. Playing real drums, you don't get a chart of colors. You have to be able to memorize songs and learn improvisational skills. I'm not a drummer (the extent of my ability is, fittingly enough, Guitar Hero drums), but I know that much.

In my personal opinion, my favorite thing about GH/RB is that if I'm learning a song on bass, and I'm looking up tabs, or learning by ear, if I'm not sure where bass is playing at exactly, I can always look up the music charts and they help get the rhythm down! Some examples, No doubt songs. 311 songs. Slipknot songs. Rammstein songs. Anyone else ever do that? Or just me.
