ah... our bodies are temporary. let people do what they will with their's let's not make a big fuss over it after all everyone and everything dies. nothing lasts forever so there really isn't a point in making a point on the matter. i don't even know why i'm still typing it's no use at the end of it all people still believe what they want to. taste what they want to. whether it be victory or defeat.
i could never be that. yeah i love style, my make up and clothes, but i dont wear fake nails, eyelashes or anything really artificial unless its the eyeliner mascara and sometimes foundation i usually wear, other than that, im vans, tees and skinny jeans. i could never be like most girls. great message Alissa
a good made video of a very nice song by a very nice band ;)
i like, that the agonist doesnt just sing about cruel or stanistic things, like some other bands in this genre....there is always something behind the text...thank u for the lyrics
@killthebodypart well,if they dont have any,ppl who are fans must be rtue fans, cuz u'll have to take the time to look them up,and most ppl are too lazy to do that
@killthebodypart Why? The message would be lost on a culture of bling-blinded teens who think the epitome of happiness is sex and money. It's better that they remain relatively under-the-radar for those who truly understand their words can appreciate them and take them to heart.
this song is my responce to almost every girl i've ever met. they are so obsessed with looking perfect that by the end of it all, they don't even look like who they are. and what use is modifying flesh when the truth that defines every single human being on this planet lies beyond the eyes of mortals. beneath the flesh. i also find it amazing that the most seemingly aggressive songs hold the deepest parts of the human soul, our deepest secrets and daemons.
@bloodsoakedbastard Completely agree, "Globus Hystericus" might be the deepest song I've ever heard, It actually changed my outloook on LIFE. Alyssa is a fucking philosopher.
@bloodsoakedbastard That's exactly how most girls work today. They think that designer clothes are the absolute best because they cost more money than three average people have, yet the shit rips and tears within a week each, even if you take perfect care of it. It's just the way the world works, which is why I'm glad there are women like Alissa.
@bloodsoakedbastard i agree so much man no one understands the true meaning that beauty doesnt come from bullshit wigs makeup or fake skin but from what u make it too be what you truely are thats what is really wrong with the world these days people think they have to follow to be loved and they dont think they can be them selves because thats what every fucked over TV show magazine and sponser puts it out there to seem like
actually, from what i know, that is the origonal spelling for daemon. and as far as i know, we still use it over here in england. it's like armour, america removes letters to make it quicker to write. i just prefer the old ways when it comes to things like this
@bloodsoakedbastard oh i apologize for my american idiocy but that is quite interesting and im serious with the american idiocy fuck american "educational" facilities bastards dont know what knowlegde is if it stabbed them in the jugular vein anyways i digress its cool man everyone should embrace the old ways of writing cause if it came first then that is the correct way to spell it changing words and shit its a word not a hypothesis you know you shouldnt be able to change a word i mean how is
okay, calm down, i meant no offence. i simply said that things change, and i don't like changing with them, i prefer things as i know them, it's just how i am.
but you really need to calm down, all i said was that i was using an older spelling and you completely flipped, take some anger management classes and think things through before you type them, otherwise you just come across as really, really violent
@bloodsoakedbastard yea man i do i know i do i just dont want to im trying to solve it myself and a main reason is cause i really hate being american and thier stupidity just keeps getting larger and in america stupidity is a prize and intelegence is a defect so it just u know kind of annoying to be here idk srry for the outburst though man didnt mean it towards u ya know srry that u thought i meant it towards you
that's fine, it's not your fault. america as a whole, are nice people with some really intelligent guys and girls. it just winds up with some really, really stupid decisions made by the people up top, which results in the country's image being tarnished and everyone hating them. i've got nothing against the people in america, even if the majority do make some pretty stupid calls sometimes
okay, sorry, yes, i admit that it is a little hypocrytical, but to me, it's the music and the words that matter, not the image of the people performing it. that's why i prefer CD's to music videos, videos are all well and good and, when done well, only add to the song's quality and, while this video has a few great moments that give the music a boost, they really could have done with reducing alissa a little, no make-up and dye her hair to the natrual colour (so that we wouldn't notice)
@bloodsoakedbastard said well, and yes i know its the music that matters, but i was just throwing in that fact. doesnt bother me but could be more meaningful if done right.
@ShoStoppa55 totally agree, people should except themselves for who they are they have to evantually anyway. and i know men that belittle themselves as well.
i know, but it kind of defeats the song's purpose (rageing against cosmetics) when alissa is wearing make-up and hair dye, don't get me wrong, i like it, i just don't think it fits this particular song very well
@bloodsoakedbastard i dont think its about cosmetics its more about how people load them selves up with surgery and make up and stuff they look like whores lol
these lyrics are so deep.
