Look up the Corvette C5 development also. It was one of the first vehicles in the world to use a hydroformed chassis. The C6 Z06 was the first to use Magnesium as a structural component. These are all-American GM designed vehicles, not recycled POS Aussie cars from the Mad-Max era.
