"John 17:3" Have you ever read that verse? It states that the Father is the ONLY true God. Jesus didn't include himself or the Holy Ghost. We LDS believe in the only Jesus Christ there is and that's the one of the Bible which is the same Jesus Christ of the Book of Mormon. Rob, the Bible doesn't teach your "trinity" heresy. Not once.

@majinish When Rob said Jesus was weak, he means he thirsted, suffered, etc. as a human being would.

And yes the Bible teaches the trinity throughout. It may be hard to understand though, and some scriptures may seem to support your view that Jesus is not God. To put it simply, Christians believe in the trinity because throughout the Bible it is proclaimed that THERE IS ONLY 1 GOD (unlike LDS doctrine). But, the Bible also distinctly calls the Holy Spirit, Jesus, and the Father GOD.

Why is it man thinks he can understand a creator that that speaks the universe into existance? People can't understand the trinity so they reject it? Ok, I can't see electrons flowing in electricty so I guess they aren't there. God is a Trinity - Great Job Rob, preach the word! God Bless you and your ministry. The KJV of Jn. 3:13 puts Jesus being in more than 1 place at a time this way: "And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven." Again, no problem for God who's omnipresent, & who can create an attachment or form to manifest Himself.

@nannykiki John 10:30 "I and my Father are one" not one in purpose but ONE. Also read John 14:9-28 ..."he that hath seen me hath seen the Father"...

@Exodus314IAM: But "one" still needs to be qualified in Jn. 10:30, since Christians haven't taken that as "no difference whatsoever except for titles." That would be modalism, which has been declared heresy. Jn. 10 still gives the idea that Jesus is just as much God as the Father is. That's what the Jews who heard Jesus understood (cf. 33) & that's what the preceding context indicates (i.e., He's the good shepherd & His grip on His sheep is just as strong as the Father's).

@Exodus314IAM: We also don't want to claim that Jesus is the Father from Jn. 14:28, but I think you're right to claim that Jesus was putting Himself on equals with the Father there. I think Nannykiki is too given over to her senses or appearances rather than what God's word actually teaches about His nature being the 1 Creator eternally existing as 3 *inseparable* Persons, even though they are different. As such, Jesus wasn't praying to Himself, but to the 1st Person of the only God there is.

@RSivulka I am well aware of God's word and where to seek clarification ..(Holy Ghost) I also understand what matters ..and it's not if I get it wrong or you get it right, it's about following having faith in Christ, repenting for our sins, being baptized (taking upon ourselves the name of Christ as CHRISTIANS)and enduring to the end...He won't cast out an OBEDIENT servant and follower of the Lord,just because he may or may not have been confused over the nature of God.

@nannykiki: Being confused is one thing. Denying the only true God which is the basis for eternal life is something else (cf. Jn. 17:3). As such, idolaters won't inherit the kingdom of God (1 Cor. 6:9). If this isn't true, then it would make no sense for Christ to warn about "false Christs" in Mat. 24:24. I submit LDS obviously have a false & devalued Christ, who isn't overall, God blessed forever (cf. Rom. 9:5).

False Christ warning is about someone will come and identify themselves as CHRIST who isn't Christ, Foolish time spent instead of spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ, teaching people how to petition to the Holy Spirit so they are not fooled when a false Christ comes. The whole false Christ thing has nothing to do with the nature of the Godhead ...

@nannykiki: And why should I believe you? Jesus said, "Unless you believe that I AM, you'll die in your sin" (Jn. 8:24). Since we hold Jesus is "over all God blessed forever" as Rom. 9:5 says, and since LDS don't buy that, then they obviously are following a false god and idolaters will not inherit the kingdom of God as 1 Cor. 6:9 says. Eternal life is based on knowing "the only true God" as Jesus taught in Jn. 17:3. That's exactly why LDS are a pseudo-Christian religion.

@RSivulka ...sweetie..He makes that call..not you. Jesus knows what LDS members believe and do.. I will stand before him..knowing he is my Savior and Judge.....not you... I also live comfortably knowing he did not give you the power to determine my status with him. I am at peace knowing I wake up daily trying to live the gospel principles taught by Jesus Christ... a fair, just and merciful judge and Savior.

@nannykiki: Obviously God makes the ultimate judgment, but of course He tells me to use the mind He's given me, make "righteous judgments" (Jn. 7:24), and beware of false prophets (Mat. 7:15). So I'd rather believe Him than you. If Samuel the Lamanite could get away with preaching repentance on the wall in the Book of Mormon, then certainly I can preach repentance to others who need it.

Yup, Jesus said there is only ONE TRUE God and he didn't say it was himself... He came here to testify of his Father and Glorify his name... If what you say is true...and they are the same...then Jesus was a Schizophrenic who called out to himself on the cross.... Really? He made it clear that he and his Father were two separate entities ..but, as the Godhead (Father , Son and Holy Ghost)
