But it is not utterly without hope: he may refer to being quashed like a bug, but he also says he is going to grow wings one day, which I see as a desire to break out of the quagmire of meaninglessness.
the video is destroying the perception of the song. The song actually conveys the whole expanse of emotions, it's a universe of a song, sad and sweet at the same time, pleasant sadness. I think showing transport rushing here and there throughout the song is not the scale of this song.
perhaps the transport rushing was acceptable in the beginning, so you start out on a macro scale.. and then you change it up to something more intimate.
it really needs more variations of events.

It's not actually about that, Thom Yorke was drunk or something and he imagined everyone was hanging from bottles from the ceiling and thought it was funny

A sincere armful, an unexpected laugh, i say hello to a stranger, to give help to someone who need it ... to see and tell the truth and after this excuse ... there is always hope to make this world better. I've seen many videos and interpretations of this song (my all-time favorite) and I think your video is the closest to the pictures I had in my head while listening to it.
