Hey man, Im in the process of finishing my 250 up, just gotta do the exhaust...when you hacked the mufflers off did you just cut the rear cylinder pipe off where it meets the dummy pipe? Or did you make a new rear exhaust
hey you just undo where the real pipe comes under the bike and joins the front cylinder pipe then cut off before the muffler. i just got some pipe to extend the exhaust

hey buddy... couple of questions for you... where did you get the seat did it fit easy? where did you get the number plate side mount... what was the axle hole size you got 0.5"? and the struts to replace the suspension where did you get them you make them yourself?
@megajordss The seat i got from lowbrow customs, i made the bracket that the springs attach too, also made the bracket the seat hinge attaches too. The side plate i made, it attaches to the strut. Was on the axle but it snapped off plus i didnt really like it there. Also made the struts mate. Pretty simple stuff to do if your handy with tools
@57ubs nice work they look perfect... noticed your plates were vic? you reckon you could whip me up a pair of hard tail struts (are the just bolt on?) and maybe the same bracket for the seat because im thinking of doing something similar il pay you of course? whats your email so we can contact ? also who did you exhaust sounds pretty sweet
@megajordss hey mate im actually in qld so not vic lol. My exhaust has been chopped off just before the mufflers. The vid doesnt do the sound justice. It is VERY loud. I have alot people comment on it and cant believe its a 250
@Maumodu84 Top speed has gone up a little bit. Overall it has just made the bike better to ride. now sits on about 4500rpm roughly at 100km/h instead of about 7000! haha. Its not a real good ratio if you have a lot of hilly terrain as you would be down shifting alot but mpg would definately be better
@Maumodu84 hey bud, i actually painted the wheels with a special whitewall paint that comes from finland. It is a bit of a mission to mask it off but comes up good. Only thing is when you clean them you need to watch what you use as it takes the white colour out of it. Im looking at buying proper whitewalls at the moment. Ill let you know how i go
dude i love your bike GREAT JOB! i cant wait to have mine up and running yours definitely looks better than most of the custom xv250's on seen on you tube from the states great job how tall are you? got any plans to extend the forward controls? did you increase the size of the pipe for the rear cylinder? can you post a video of you riding it?
@donniefias hey mate thanks for the comments. Im about 6ft tall but i find the riding style really good. im not real cramped up with the controls. I think that might be due to the seat positioning maybe?? I didnt increase the size of the pipe because the front pipe has the same size diameter pipe inside (so there is a pipe inside a pipe). have checked the spark plugs and run a temp gun over the motor to see the operating temp and seems to be fine. Ill try get a vid of me riding this days off
