problem with optical zooming on digital camera is the noise produced by the lens motor. still i think they should leave an option for the user to use the optical zoom if he is ok with the noise.
you can zoom, but you can just use the digital one. You can zoom in with the optical one before you start recording tho, but you cant zoom out afer that.. :P
@trinsko yeah both of you are right. a camcorder is better in videoquality (not in picturequality) because of the ccd's sense... so for making a video a camcorder might be cool and has better results (interlaced videos). But the camera is still a machine for pictures.. the video option is just an addition to use so it's video might look a bit non-fluid like the one from the camcorder...
But hey, i think it's a pretty cool cam and it's always fun to record in HD :D
Good Sumple.Thx

why are so many people confused?
10x optical zoom (locked during filming)
4x digital zoom (zoom 4x during filming)
when u press the film-button, the cam locks the lens.
you cant zoom out while filming, only 4x digital zoom in.

Which format does the EX-H10 HD record when selected 720p?
Quicktime (.mov) or mp4 or avi?
