ROFL dave n joey are very different drummers. I'm a drummer myself and Slayer are my fave band, but personally i'd say joey is the better drummer. Dave never really does anything interesting or especially creative, but he is a very fast, very solid and very tight drummer. They are both excellent drummers but joey is alot more experimental and plays some crazy as fuck stuff. But without Dave would Joey even be where he is today? Who knows...

Jame's voice sucks now, Lars's beats suck now and they're songs are fucking stupid now. They're too rich and out of touch now. Bob Rock made them alot of money but totally butchered they're music and destroyed they're integrity and credibilty in the process. James and Kirk are brilliant guitarists, to answer your question. I really don't get this whole Joey war thing. He is not the best drummer on the planet. He is really good though. It's all what you learn. I have a friend that can cover every slipknot song np where I can only do a few. But I can cover every trivium song where he can only do a few. He's got a style. Yes that style is mostly quads. But he's a decent drummer non the less. Is he overhyped by the maggots yea. But who dosn't overhype their favorites? Joeys average tier in my opinion formetaldrumming

ROFL dave n joey are very different drummers. I'm a drummer myself and Slayer are my fave band, but personally i'd say joey is the better drummer. Dave never really does anything interesting or especially creative, but he is a very fast, very solid and very tight drummer. They are both excellent drummers but joey is alot more experimental and plays some crazy as fuck stuff. But without Dave would Joey even be where he is today? Who knows...
