American English has been influenced by Mexican Spanish and viceversa. I don't understand why many Latin Americans pronounce beach as bitch and sheet as shit when the speak English. Spanish has the same vowel sound written as I. Come to think of it, they might pronounce bitch as beach.

@123turtleninja maybe you worked on it alot to get it to be fluent, and it also depends if you been in your native city for a short or long time. my friend is from Mexico and she has lived their up until she was 15 yrs old she is now 24 and still has the accent, and i have another friend who was from the Philippines his whole life and only at the time lived in the states for 2 years and after that he ws fluent in english and taglog almost like he never had a accent. so it depends
@MamiYare I find that difficult to believe...because tagalog is way different than english which has a lot more
similarities with spanish(both european lenguages with a strong latin influence) + most americans i've met complain about not being able to understand philipinos and other asians inmigrants tryng to speak english a lot more offten then they do when they have to listen to mexicans in the same situation...but who knows this could be an extraordinarily inteligent man.
@kuricaueri well it is true, I also have an asian friend and although her given characterictics says she is asian she speaks perfectly fine english to me. Some people work harder than others to learn and perfect a language or accent of that language. I agree some do complain about not being able to understand them, all I am saying is that some take more time than others and some maybe just will take longer to get :)
@MrElira1702 I was referring to not having a Mexican accent when speaking English. But even if my English is "perfect", I still have a Californian accent which would sound different from a southern or a British one. So you're right, technically everyone has an accent :D
