just this year (2011) i figured out how bad all my 'friends' are and how im always the "third weel" and now at lunch i find myself walking all alone... And i know there is alot of people i can just go over and talk to but most of those people are the 'preps' :'(

@Abbieunderwooluvsyew you need to find others to hang out with. try talk to different people at your school and if they like you, they'll start coming up to you instead of you coming up to them. all of them can't be "preps". join different teams, like volleyball or whatever you like and find people there that have the same interests as you. hope any of that helped!
BUT Andrea: what if you are in class and everybody laughts at you when you raised your hand and asked the teacher a question or gave him an answer, no matter what you say at least half of the class laughs at you -what would you do?? stop raising your hand? or what? (no my voice doesnt sound funny in case you thought so)
@johmarie7 this is why i would do: i would wait for the class to end and after that i would go up to the teacher and tell her/him that how it really bothers you that people laugh at you when you raise your hand. and if she/he is a good teacher she/he would take care of it, and i not. go talk to an other teacher.
@electrasophie thank you. but well what I did do actually was: I went to the leader of the laughers and talked to her very long and nailed her down verbally kind of. that helped for the next couple of month. they chose other peope to laugh at and the silence was "loud" whenever I spoke.. had to repeat the step every 2 or 3 or 4 month. but it was worth it. you have to fight yourselfe some respect.

what should i do?
just this year (2011) i figured out how bad all my 'friends' are and how im always the "third weel" and now at lunch i find myself walking all alone... And i know there is alot of people i can just go over and talk to but most of those people are the 'preps' :'(
and I dont have any of my (good) friend's numbers so i cant call them and when i message them on facebook i never get a reply :( i just dont know what to do.

@Abbieunderwooluvsyew you need to find others to hang out with. try talk to different people at your school and if they like you, they'll start coming up to you instead of you coming up to them. all of them can't be "preps". join different teams, like volleyball or whatever you like and find people there that have the same interests as you. hope any of that helped!

BUT Andrea: what if you are in class and everybody laughts at you when you raised your hand and asked the teacher a question or gave him an answer, no matter what you say at least half of the class laughs at you -what would you do?? stop raising your hand? or what? @johmarie7 this is why i would do: i would wait for the class to end and after that i would go up to the teacher and tell her/him that how it really bothers you that people laugh at you when you raise your hand. and if she/he is a good teacher she/he would take care of it, and i not. go talk to an other teacher.

@electrasophie thank you. but well what I did do actually was: I went to the leader of the laughers and talked to her very long and nailed her down verbally kind of. that helped for the next couple of month. they chose other peope to laugh at and the silence was "loud" whenever I spoke.. had to repeat the step every 2 or 3 or 4 month. but it was worth it. you have to fight yourselfe some respect.

You're really right. But you were a bit wrong, around half way in. When you said "I hate my boobs, so I'll get new ones". You're absolutely right about plastic surgery, I think it's fabulous. But Im just saying that you can only modify, and change when you love yourself. You can't change yourself out of hatred because you'll continue to modify and modify and you'll never be happy. I have small round eyes and I don't feel ok when I look into the mirror I tried my best to fix it but it didn't fix :(
And every time I go to school,party or anywhere everyone start making jokes about my eyes they are not like Asian but they are small and this thing is so frustrating :(

I think that we all push each other down because we are confused. Society starts targeting young girl's confidence through media because god forbid we have strong women. Instead of getting mad at the government or society and the way things work, they keep us busy on Facebook and petty gossip. We are constantly mad at each other instead of society. Just a thought.

Everyone has their own stories on how they reach confidence.If ppl want to permanently remove what they believe is imperfect with unnatural means like cosmetic surgery then fine. Why cant ppl change their body without being criticized and shunned?We can't draw a line on justifiable reasons why people can use cosmetic surgery simply because of what we think is appropriate. Excess of anything will only lead to disappointment so find your smile.Her msg is simple. Do what you want to feel confident.

I AGREE 100%!! This video made me think of the haters on YouTube, they post countless comments on videos they HATE. It's like... ughh. Why are you here then?? Hahah but great advice, I'm glad I figured this out on my own. I definitely agree with you in that when people don't like something about themself (usually weight) then do something! It makes me mad when girls just keep eating unhealthy stuff and stay unhealthy then complain. So ironically sad. x)

I love your videos and i think you're on the right track about loving yourself, but personally from experience and councilling etc i don't think losing weight, botox, boob and nose jobs are the answer to confidence. You're kind of contradicting yourself, saying 'love yourself for who you are, oh but if you don't like any aspect then go ahead and change it to look like a model!' Confidence comes from within, not from expensive plastic surgery and being skinny. Just saying.

i always make an effort to tell myself that im a strong, confident, inteligent young woman that anyone would be privalaged to know. if you tell your self you are'nt, then it shows, and other people will pick up on that and treat you accordingly.
give up on yourself, and others will only follow in your example.
