  • Personally I think it's easier to just go straight for it. Most of the strength comes from the thumb with the index finger for balance only; the other fingers are a liability.

  • to get the full benefits of doing this exercise, you should have your legs parallel to each other.

  • close your legs little this will make it hard

  • Брюс Ли так ноги широко не раставлял

  • I can do this, and i'm 13 so every-one who said it just to hard, your just not trying.

  • I'm 10 and I did it.. Yay mee >:D

  • Impressive

  • Nearly broke my finger

  • isnt bruce lee cursed

  • @lacywilliam1 isnt bruce lee dead

  • why?

  • yea this the kung fu 1000 pound push iron training

  • my finger broke lol

  • I feel weak after watching this...

  • i would like to try this but i dont have five fingers only 4 and a thumb .. oh well

  • bruce lee? he didnt even created that lol he learned it from monks, by the way if you keep on doing that your finders will be named " The Finger of Death " why? well your fingers will turn hard as hell lol

  • I can do one handed press ups on my knuckles but the fingers hurt like hell when I do them on 5 fingers, are there any good intermediate ways?

  • TYYYY

  • you open your legs to much but bruce lee just had his legs normal

  • Dude im not gona lie to you, but i can do 32 push ups like this(17 years old) .

Its harder if you do push ups with 2 hands and only 1 finger each hand then this.

(This just looks too hard but its not)

  • you can easily break ur finger

  • there is no sense in comparing Bruce Lee with Freddie, each one is a different person!

anyway, i'm trying to perform this but my fingers are in terrible pain. is there any danger of injury? maybe Freddie can show us a way of strengthen our fingers?!

  • @MegalosEpitimos Yeah, you could hurt yourself doing this. Try to make sure you're not pushing yourself too much.

In general, these 2 finger pushups seem to be of limited usefulness. You could do other things to improve finger strength with less chance of a nasty injury.

  • i did this and broke all ma fingers :(

  • @Thatguy2094 how is that possible? I remember when I first time tried to do 6 finger push up ( 3 - 3 per hand ) my fingers was almost lying at floor ... now I almost can do thumbs push up ... I don't know how you broke them ... I 'm really sorry ... try with both hands than with one ... good recovery! Although I think you already recovered since it passed 4 months hahaha

  • although his leg split far, but still hard for doing 2 finger. awesome man

  • lol....insane...

  • Bruce did it with his legs closed.

  • also bruce lee didn't have his legs in triangle fashion. that is so insane! I can bearly do one one handed push up with my legs straight.

  • doin one handed push ups is a good way to pop your back too lol.

  • Bruce lee's two finger push up is insane, in the footage that I saw it looked like he used the tips, not bending his fingers at all. You kick ass Freddie

  • sick

  • Looks painful for the fingers O_o

Is it bad for your fingers to do that?

  • bruce lee does his push up with his legs together! do it the real way!

  • bruce lee does his 2 finger push up with out spreading his legs!! keep ur legs together!

  • Thanks Dude I training.

  • I'm twelve years old justed pratised the splits do u think i a can do wo finger push ups?

  • Lets just get the basics, its an exercise for strength. Whether Bruce Lee did or did not create it, he DID popularize it :D this is awesome

  • created by bruce lee? hardly, shaolin monks have been tought this method for the last 1000 years; techniques such as finger zen, and shaolin snake, as well as immortal hand.

  • You are probably right but as for me, he was the creator b/c he was the one I first saw perform the exercise and the one who I was inspired to learn from. Actually as human beings we are all creators and destroyers. Bruce Lee created his own expression of the two finger pushup and I created my own as well. I did not see a monk perform it and then copy, I did it my own way that was even different than Bruce.

  • @Harriyama bruce lee didnt create the 2 finger pushup he just popularized it

  • its 1 finger push up thumb is not a finger

  • @Princeechin It's called a thumb finger. It counts as a finger. Don't try to be smart jimmy.

  • thank you for answering my questions :)

  • When i watched the bruce lee video he only did three and he looked like he was about to fall flat on his belly then suddenly after the third push up he goes foward quickly.i think its just the camera image or view that shows that he is not having trouble

  • It is a lot of pressure on the fingers when you do it that way, I'm not going to lie. At first I was wondering why he was doing it so slowly I thought he was purposefully making it seem harder than it really was but then when I switched my feet up to be like his I realized that it is much more difficult to do it that way. Well anyway Bruce Lee was great b/c he was great in many things. But there are great gymnasts out there that can do amazing things with their bodies as well.

  • i was just wondering because my friend said that its the wrong way i shouldn`t believe him and he also said that Bruce lee did the two finger push up without any stress is that true ??

  • There is a video on YouTube showing Bruce Lee doing the pushups, you can see it for yourself. Yes, he made it look very easy with no stress and it is a lot harder to do it with the form that he did it in. To my knowledge he is the one who first came up with the exercise to demonstrate his strength.

  • you did the push ups wrong spreading your legs make things much easier keep your legs straight

i tried it both ways and the legs being straight was really difficult :)

  • I didn't do anything wrong, that is my way of doing it, yes I have discovered that it is easier when someone pointed it out to me but that does not mean I did it wrong, there are different ways to do many things. I've tried it the other way and I was still able to do it. In anything you do, there is a harder way to do it and an easier way, this is the easier way, but that does not make it wrong. As with any exercise, such as the pull up, simply slow down the pace and it will be much harder

  • awesome dude

  • Holy Cow! That is so hard! But i'll practice it.

  • very helpful,thanks freddie...

  • Holy crap that puts so much stress on two fingers.

  • Nice.. I am not able to do that yet... But U should try put your legs in shoulder lenght position as Bruce did :D Regards

  • I made fitness video #22 based on your motivation. Thank you.
